A leading plastic surgeon has accused UnitedHealthcare of sending its 'threats' after making Bombshell Claims about the insurance giant.
Dr. Elisabeth Potter, a plastic surgeon certified by the board in Austin, Texas, was one of the many doctors who condemned the practices of Unitedhealthcare after the murder of Brian Thompson in December.
She had claimed in a video on Tiktok last month that she was in the middle of performing reconstructive operation to a patient who survived breast cancer when she received a phone call from the insurance company.
The insurance representative reportedly said that he needed information about the diagnosis of the patient to determine “or her intramural stay must be justified.”
“I had to scrub mid-surgery to call United, only to discover that the person on the line did not even have access to the full medical information of the patient, despite the fact that the procedure was approved in advance,” Potter said in the video.
She later clarified in a follow -up post that there was a second surgeon in the operating room with her, who watched over the patient as she made the phone call.
But UnitedHealth Group Inc, the parent company of UnitedHealthcare, has since the powerful Locke Law Firm, which Potter demanded her messages on social media and apologized and apologized, she said.

In a video posted only three days after Potter made the claims, she said she had received a phone call from the insurance giant about her post.
She said that a representative for the company left her a message and she tried to call back, but she was left and was never able to reach the right person.
Weeks later Potter said that she received a question letter from Clarke Locke – who brings herself to the market as 'the leading law firm in the United States' and previously represented Dominion voice systems in obtaining a scheme of almost $ 800 million from Fox News.
In the letter, which Potter placed as a whole, the law firm accused the doctor of making an error in the orders of its patient and to allow 'threatening, harassing and intimidating comments' on her social media pages that were aimed on UHC.
The company also claimed that the representative from UnitedHealthcare would leave a message when they found out that she was in an operation.
'Your claims are incorrect. You clearly know they are false. You wrongly blamed the fault of your office on UnitedHealthcare publicly, where you unleash a fire storm of dangerous wrong information, “the letter was.
It continued to demand Potter 'Correct the Record' by deleting its messages and issuing a public apologization to UHC, contacting media who have treated her messages to withdraw her claims and the threats of violence condemning aimed at our client as a result of your messages. '

In a video on Monday, Potter acknowledged that she found the question letter 'a bit intimidating', but promised 'I will not be silenced by threats when it comes to pronouncing my patients. “
She then regretted the treatment by her patient's insurance company and said it was 'even worse' than the letter she received.
“Staying overnight after a major operation is not optional – it is medically necessary,” Potter argued. “But UnitedHealthcare decided that they know better than the doctors who take care of the patient.”
“When they called me while I worked, I knew that if I didn't get out and responded immediately, she could deny her stay – leave her with a huge bill,” she went on and defended her actions. 'So, with another surgeon in the OR, I scrubbed away and called them back.
“But after all that? They denied her stay anyway, “she claimed.
“And instead of repairing their broken system, they sent me a legal threat to pronounce.”

The doctor then promised to continue to fight and speak against the insurance giant.
“If I don't say statements, I lose my integrity, my voice and the possibility to make a difference,” she said.
'And although it is intimidating to receive a letter like this from a company as powerful as UnitedHealthcare, I know where I stand.
'Let me be clear: I stay with everything I said. I told the truth. I was honest about what is happening in our health care system. And I will not be silenced by legal threats when it comes to pleading for my patients and my ability to take care of them. '
In the post that the letter shares, Potter also wrote: “My words were true and this situation was absurd.”
She was determined in her explanation that the patient's overnight stay was necessary for 'medical reasons' and 'no mistake on my part'.
“The gas light and intimidation in the letter that United sent me did not work to do anything else than to strengthen my determination,” she said.
“I will talk honestly, clearly and clearly about the state of health care in the United States of America.”
A spokesperson for UnitedHealth Group hit in Potter's Post, in a statement to DailyMail.com and said: 'It is deliberately distributing doctors patient relationships and healthcare in general. '
