Saffron Cole-Nottage had gone for a walk along the coast with her 11-year-old daughter, Jessica, and the family dog.
It was somewhat colder than it has been lately, a feeling that was reinforced by a moderate breeze that blows into the North Sea.
But otherwise it was a completely normal, seemingly harmless Sunday evening in Lowestoft, Suffolk.
But shortly after 8 p.m. the 32-year-old mother of three was dead.
The first reports of the tragedy suggested that Saffron had somehow retained her legs between some boulders, with emergency services that could not free her before the tide came in and she drowned.
The way such an innocent walk had led such an abrupt and inexplicable to such a tragedy, has amazed the lovers of Saffron – and the wider community. And many let the simple question ask: how could this have happened?
And the circumstances of her death, as described in those first reports, further questions arose: how could she get caught so tightly that experienced rescue workers could not free her?
And if that was the case, why did she not give breathing equipment while the water flooded her?
In an attempt to give some answers to these questions, MailOnline withdrew from what it was thought last night that the steps of Saffron and Jessica were at the same time of the night as their fatal walk with her dog, thought as a Gray Sharpei Cross.

Just like on Sundays at the same time, the coast was in Lowestoft, Suffolk, Cold, Dark and Abandoned just after 8 p.m.
But last night, at the same time in the evening, there was no rising tide around those boulders, no leprosy water: the sea was at some distance from the point between the rocks on which it is supposed to have fallen.
And investigating the tidal tables throws more doubts about that drowning theory: flood that evening was still about four hours and it was closer to the EB from 6 pm during the fatal period.
The Suffolk police have revealed few facts about the circumstances and timing of the tragedy, other than to say that they were called shortly after 8 p.m. and that there were no suspicious circumstances.
They have not commented on the cause of death.
Like many locals have said when hearing the tragedy on South Beach, it seemed the most unlikely place to opt for a dog walk at night, especially with a child.
The only light, except for the powerful torches that we have taken, came from the street lamps on the esplanade above, making the journey even more dangerous.
On his coast side, the 'path' cuts a zigzag shape, caused by the metal piles that sand it. And there are deep dark voids among the huge boulders.

But Saffron is supposed to have grown up in the city before she moved to Ken, where she worked in a pub before she recently returned.
She may have had the feeling that she was sufficiently familiar with the potential dangers of that coast to navigate safely, even in the dark.
And indeed, according to one of Saffron's local friends, she was in the habit of walking on this stretch of beach on this stretch of beach at night – it was clearly familiar territory for her.
While we took her steps, we discovered that while you leave the esplanade of the city, going along South Beach is becoming more and more unforging.
To continue along the Saffron route, we had to step over a small chain fence with a safety warning board.
Similar 'no access' signs are on the other side of this part of the beach, presumably to prevent people from climbing on the enormous granite boulders that were shipped from Norway and placed along the seawall in 2014 to combat coastal.
About 100 meters from the No Entry board we clambed the gravel and on the ledge under the point on the esplanade where friends and relatives had placed flower tribute on saffron.
A local with whom we spoke yesterday had described the surface as 'as an ice rink' and the running disappeared: the ledge, smooth in brine, moss and puddles of seawater, was incredibly slippery and we both almost lost our foot several times .

Flowers left on the scene in Lowestoft in memory of Saffron who died on Sunday evening
It is easy to see how someone, even if they knew this stretch of kisses, might slip away and fall here, perhaps a head injury of those rocks.
Certainly, a 11 -year -old child would have trouble withdrawing an adult to the relative safety of the walkway if they had lost consciousness under the rocks. And in that case they would have trouble finding help with hand, our experience suggests.
Because Saffron fell like Saffron at the same time, there were very few people in the area.
At one point we met a group of young people who secretly share a cannabis joint on the sand. They did not seem aware that there had been a mysterious death here only 72 hours earlier.
Later a man struggled with his Staffordshire Bull Terrier over a stick. He had not been here on Sunday, he said, and knew nothing about the tragedy.
Unlike these two encounters, we have not seen any other person between 7.30 pm and 9 pm.
Saffron's partner Mike Wheeler – The father of Saffron's eight -month -old Baby Hudson and a second daughter, Jasmine, 7 – wrote yesterday: 'The world is so cruel and to take you in this freak gruesome way, will not be good with me for me The rest of my life. '
A single red rose that was placed on one of the rocks was the only proof of the terrible events that took place here three nights earlier.
Friends of Saffron asked if the emergency services could no longer have done to save her.
Those questions may have to wait until the examination of a coroner is fully answered.
