A MAN who was fed up with his creepy neighbors filming in his yard decided to take matters into his own hands.

He showed how he bought a £35 privacy screen from Amazon to the view and make his outdoor space more private.

On his @cosmicbengals_n_leopards He showed how he had placed the screens around the entire perimeter of his garden.

He explained: “Maybe I’ll plant a hedge or something at some point, but for now I’ll have to make do with this.

“Oh, did I mention he had the camera pointed right into my backyard where my kids are playing? How weird!”

In the commentary he added: “Yes, I am petty enough to block my neighbor’s entire view.

“Here’s a look from the other side. I don’t want them to see anything, and I don’t care if it makes them angry.”

The man explained how he bought the “6′ x 50′ Beige Fence Privacy Screen” on Amazon, and that it cost him $47 (£35).

Although he lives in the US, there are plenty of similar options available on the UK Amazon page, and installation isn’t too complicated either.

The description reads: “This product is easy to install.

“Use the supplied cable ties to secure the rings to the fence on each side. There is double black stitching and rings on each side.

“The fabric material is made of polyethylene, blocks 90 percent of vision, has a long lifespan under external UV radiation and we only use new material, no recycled material.

Transform your garden with a privacy fence

“A UV-resistant compound has been added to the material that provides up to 97 percent UV blockage.”

And six months later, the privacy fence is still there.

The man informed his followers: “Things are going great.

“We have experienced many different wind scenarios and a lot of rain.

“It has also been in the sun.

“I think it’s great. You still can’t see anything through the neighbors.

“I pulled it back once when we had that hurricane, or maybe it was just a Category 1 when it hit us.

“So I pulled it back like a curtain, and did the same thing on the other side. I bunched it up in the middle because I didn’t want it to rip or blow out of the ground.”

How do you create privacy in your garden?

Creating privacy in your garden can be done in a number of ways, depending on your budget and the size of your space. Here are some effective ways to improve privacy in your garden:

1. Fence

  • Install a tall, sturdy wood or vinyl fence. This is one of the easiest ways to get instant privacy. Or use lattice panels, trellis or slatted fencing to add a decorative touch while still providing privacy.

2. Hedges and plants

  • Fast growing evergreen shrubs or trees such as Leylandii, Thuja or Bamboo along the border of your garden can help with privacy. Grow a dense hedge with plants such as Boxwood, Privet or Laurel. It may take a while to grow but will provide a natural and green privacy screen. Use climbing plants such as Ivy, Clematis or Wisteria on fences or trellis to create a lush, green privacy barrier.

3. Outdoor curtains

  • Hang outdoor curtains around pergolas, gazebos or patios for an easily customizable privacy solution.

4. Sound barriers

  • A water fountain or small waterfall can help drown out noise, adding to the sense of privacy. Or, install a fence designed to reduce noise if privacy from sound is also a concern.

People seemed impressed and shared their thoughts in the comments.

One said, “We have one too. The bright light from our neighbor’s porch shines into our bedroom window, even through the blinds.

“Took 3 years, wind, rain, snow.”

Another added: “I would love that. I like total privacy. No one is looking at me.”

A third wrote: “It’s just like the Great Wall of China.”

And someone commented, “A projection movie night would be awesome there, lol.”
