A paramedic who died at the age of 27, just a few weeks after he was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor, had dedicated to helping others who worked “tirelessly” to land her dream job, deeply sad friends said.
Megan Lines, who was described as a life 'dedicated to help others', died tragically on December 15 shortly after the aggressive tumor was diagnosed.
Because the funeral for the young paramedician from Dereham, Norfolk, took place last month, oneIt was collected £ 4,000 for the British Heart Foundation and the East Anglian Air ambulance.
A group of four friends of Megan organized a fundraising called Moving for Meg to raise money for the Brainstrust of the charity.
Until now, they have collected more than £ 2,200 of their target of £ 3,000.
They will run the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April in memory of the paramedic, who was also an avid runner.
Organizer Emily Storey wrote on Justgiving: 'Megan was more than just my friend – she was a colleague, role model and someone I was so proud of being next to when we graduated from the university as paramedics.
'Becoming a paramedic was her dream and she worked tirelessly to achieve it.

'Megan devoted himself to helping others, always putting their needs first and it breaks my heart that such a bright future has taken away from her much too quickly.
'She was only 27, with so much for her – a promising career to fulfill, adventures to have and life to live.
“After we get to know her family, we run for fewer families to experience the pain of losing someone like Megan.”
Admitting that the half marathon will be a challenge, Emily said: 'The power, kindness and determination of Megan will inspire us all in every step.
'We hope to make her proud and thus make destruction in a positive opportunity to share her story and increase awareness for such a vital matter.
“The life of Megan was dedicated to helping others, and now we can put that inheritance forward.”

Every year, more than 12,000 people are determined with a primary brain tumor in the UK, about half of which is cancer -like.
In general, around 17 out of 100 people with a cancer -like brain tumor will survive for five years or more after the diagnosis.
A colleague paid tribute to Megan and wrote: 'Megs was the friendliest person you could want to meet. We started colleagues at UCLH, but Megs was immediately a much cherished and great friend. '
Another person wrote: 'Megan was a really caring and great person. Her family and friends must be proud of the person she was and how much kindness and compassion she bought from her patients and colleagues. '
Other comments were: “Such a beautiful young lady who is too young,” with one person who describes her as “a clear light in the world.”
