A large winter storm will unleash to a foot snow when the more than 27 states barrels, causing treacherous driving conditions and power failure.
The storm will start on Friday and spread over the northern plains during the day during the day during the day in the Upper Midwest and reach the east coast on Saturday.
States that must be braced to impact include North Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia.
Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine will also be damaged by heavy snowfall.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has already brought 30 million people in the eastern Rockies and Dakotas to New York City and Boston under weather warnings, with warnings for mixed precipitation and ice accumulations.
The NWS insisted on Americans in those regions that do not travel, but if necessary, drivers must consider taking a winter storm kit with a shovel, flashlight, blankets and extra clothing.
“Take water, a first aid kit and everything else that would help you survive in case you are stranded,” is the alert.
Snow and hard winds will continue to exist in New England until Sunday morning before Garnett Benshore moves.

Winter Storm Garnett runs east over the US, with 27 states on its path
AccuWeather -Meteorologists said on Friday that the storm, called Garnett, is 'perhaps the biggest storm of the winter season' for parts of the northeast.
A large US strip is still faltering of the winter storm Freya that struck on Wednesday to Thursday, and Garnett will touch these areas with even higher snow totals.
AccuWeather and meteorologists have predicted six to 12 centimeters of accumulation for areas within a narrow band that extends from the eastern border from the Dakotas to Boston, Massachusetts, including the cities of Minneapolis and Green Bay.
But locally higher quantities up to 18 inches can fall in some places.
A wider area around this central snowfall can expect three to six centimeters, including Buffalo, New York and Burlington, Vermont.
And one to three centimeters has to accumulate in cities such as bishmark and Fargo, North Dakota, Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Detroit, Michigan.
“Road crews that clean up the first snow round and treat the pavement for ice, can be tense, especially because of the timing of the second storm, making them work during the weekend,” said AccuWeather meteorologists.
It is expected that a band of black ice and ice -cold rain will develop from Iowa to the coast of New England until Saturday until Saturday, which may bring considerable ice accumulation to a more widespread area than the previous storm.

It is expected that a significant ice will accumulate in a widespread area, with power failure where ice formation is the most serious
More than a quarter of inch ice cream could build up on booms, high -voltage lines, roads and sidewalks, and this can be 'harmful, especially if the means needed to pre -treat roads are limited earlier in the week, “said meteorologists.
In areas where ice accumulations are considerable, power outages are likely.
That risk extends from the upper Ohio valley due to parts of Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia.
Cities within this risk service are the Moines, Iowa, Peoria and Chicago, Illinois, Toledo, Ohio and Philadelphia, Lancaster and Scranton in Pennsylvania.

While Winter Storm Garnett should go offshore towards the end of the weekend, a more serious winter weather in the neighborhood follows.
This 'Parade of Storms' will continue to hit the eastern half of the US in at least mid -February.
“The storm this weekend is only the next in a series of storms that is part of the pattern change that started at the end of last week,” said AccuWeather senior meteorologist Joe Lundberg.
From Monday to Wednesday next week, a storm will come from Texas to the Middle Atlantic coast, which again brings a large strip of snow and ice to the north of his path, he added.
Heavy rain and heavy weather could also extend over the south in the southeast, Lundberg warned.
