I Hated Water Stains on Faucets – My 10 Second Trick Makes Them Stain-Free
Are you tired of your taps being covered in water stains and not looking their best?
One woman claimed she found an incredible solution using a product you may already have or can buy very cheaply.
TikTok user @makelifesimpler_ uploaded a video that read: “Here’s a simple trick to keep your faucets sparkling!”
She explains: “Simply rub some candle wax over the faucet and buff with a dry microfiber cloth for a smooth, water-resistant finish.
“You can also use baking paper for the same effect!
“Both methods create a barrier that helps prevent stubborn limescale build-up, keeping your taps looking like new!”
After removing the water stains with vinegar, she showed how to simply wipe metal faucets with a candle, leaving them covered in a layer of wax.
Then take a microfiber cloth and gently wipe it clean.
All stains should then be removed and according to the home hacks queen your taps will then be “water repellent”.
The best thing about this hack is that it only takes a few seconds and you can buy the candles in multipacks, which is very cheap per piece.
Her video has clearly made an impression on her viewers, with a whopping 242,000 likes.
Someone wrote: “You’re telling me all I needed was candle wax all the time.”
Another added: “OMG I needed this.”
A third saying: “I will definitely try this.”
According to plumbing professionals Bob HoeglarVinegar works wonders in removing water stains.
They advised: “Vinegar is a safe, all-natural household cleaner with the amazing ability to combat limescale.
“Put a little in a plant sprayer and spray it on any surface where you find lime stains.
Let it sit for five to fifteen minutes, so the vinegar has time to break down the minerals in the chalky white stain.
“After soaking long enough, scrub the surface with an old toothbrush. Use a brush with larger bristles when cleaning larger areas.”
