Mum fed up with no storage transforms her wardrobe with a £3 budget buy
A mum has been in the spotlight after sharing a genius trick that allowed her to add a whole lot more to her wardrobe for just £3.
Gemma Bird, also known as Money Mum, shared a clever trick on her TikTok page that she discovered when she wanted to add more clothes to her wardrobe.
In the videoshe explained that “all you need is a cable tie.”
She then showed how she secured the cable tie around the top of the hanger and repeated this all the way down, creating a chain of sorts.
You can then use the cable tie loops to attach hangers from top to bottom.
She demonstrated this by hanging five children’s sweaters on the loops.

“This is so easy to do.
“I thought it might be useful if you run out of space or have to pay for storage.
“This is a cheap and easy idea!”
And considering you can buy a pack of 100 cable ties online for just £3.34, this trick certainly isn’t too expensive.
People were quick to respond on TikTok. One person wrote, “Good idea!”
“Be careful with fabrics that are easy to pull,” they added.
Gemma is known for sharing money saving tips and tricks on her social media pages.
And because she is a mother herself, she regularly posts tips for raising children.
In another recent TikTok, Gemma shared a video explaining one of her favorite free hacks while on a bike ride with her son.
“What if one day you just got up and went outside?” she wrote at the top of the caption.
