- Tiberius, a Tawny Owl, was thinned by animal lover Mark Foden
Cute images have shown a loyal owl who made nightly visits to the man who saved his life and took care of it again.
Tiberius, a tawny owl, was starved on a military barracks parade land in Plymouth by animal lover Mark Foden in June 2024.
The retired 63 -year -old formed a special bond with the bird – which he named after Star Trek -Personage 'Captain James Tiberius Kirk' – after taking care of it for months.
Mr. Foden, Van Devon, has now shared heart -warming outdoor ring camera images of Tiberius who return to his savior every night.
He said: 'He was very emerge, I think and had not been fed for a while, so he was on the way.
“First he would not eat, it was very difficult to feed, he wouldn't take it himself, so I had to put it in his mouth and push it down, but as you can see, he grew into a nice guy!”

Tiberius was not the first bird that MR Foden saved and released in the wild. In June 2018 he found an wounded Jackdaw with a damaged wing in his backyard.
The animal lover said about the moment he liberated Tiberius: 'When I laughed [him]I just opened the door and I filmed it. In the beginning he was quite resistant – he thought this was a bit strange and he kept coming back and forward. He eventually leaned forward and flew away and then he disappeared.
“And then 12 days later I just looked at the ring app and he sat there and I thought, oh, wow, this is good!”

Tiberius got back in full health and is now a happier, healthy owl
Despite the fact that the owl released the owl back in the wild, Mr. Foden records observations of Tiberius who returns home almost every night.
He hopes that Tiberius will establish a territory one day, but will stay close.
Mr. Foden gets the most from the night vision of his multiple cameras and monitors Tiberius and other wild animals that visit his garden.
He praised the devices and said: 'It is very easy to install and it is waterproof, and the fact that you can view it if you are on the other side of the world if you want [is great]. '
