If the Grand Home infringes the building permit, there is a chance that the enforcement measures can prevent because of the 'four -year rule', which makes retrospective building permit possible if no objections have been raised during that period.
But the NNDC planning portal shows that the relevant certificate of legality has not been granted.
Last year the rules were changed to extend the minimum period for objections for up to ten years.
If Larkfields was not given a retrospective building permit for whatever reason, an appeal could be lodged in the planning inspection. But if that failed, the owner would probably be forced to demolish the illegal areas.
