Molly-Mae reveals ‘2k people’ have teased her about the same thing, but she won’t stop
She is synonymous with the look.
But Molly-Mae Haag has admitted she has received “2,000” comments all telling her to ditch her slicked back bun.
In one video on YouTube While getting ready for a wedding in Cannes, Molly said: “I saw a TikTok the other day where some girls were having to be told that the baguette doesn’t look good on them.
“And the comments were all saying, ‘Someone needs to tell Molly-Mae about this’ and the comment got like 2,000 likes.
“I thought, ‘That’s me, I’m never doing my favorite haircut again!'”
But Molly insisted she ‘really likes’ her sleek bun as she continued to style it for the wedding.

However, she did admit that she worries about people being able to see her hair extensions.
“These are the ones in the icy blonde color I was talking about,” she noted.
“They are very noticeable when you tie your hair up.
“You can see them all here.”
But in an attempt to hide the hair ties, Molly grabbed a pintail comb and did her best to “hide them with my unextended hair.”
“Let’s see how this goes!” she laughed.
A snippet of the YouTube video was shared on TikTokwith people quick to defend Molly in the comments section.
“She literally made the sleek bun!” one raged.
“She looks so cute with her sleek bun,” said another.
“What! The sleek bun at the back suits her so well,” a third commented.
The sleek bun suits everyone as it is neat and pulled back. I didn’t see anyone and thought it looked bad…
“Omg no she’s rocking the slicked back bun,” another added.
The 4 phases of the hair growth cycle
Hair experts at Philip Kingsley shared the four phases of the hair growth cycle: Anagen, Catagen, Telogen and Exogen
Anagen phase: Also known as the ‘growth phase’ or ‘active phase’, this is the phase when the cells in the root of your hair divide most quickly to form more new hair.
During the anagen phase, hair grows about half an inch per month [about six inches a year]and faster in summer than in winter.
This phase of the hair growth cycle lasts an average of three to five years.
Catagen phase: After the anagen phase, your hair cycle enters a short transition phase known as the catagen phase. This phase signals the end of active hair growth and cuts off individual hairs from the blood supply and from the cells that produce new hair.
About three percent of all hairs are in this stage at any time and it lasts about 10 days.
Telogen phase: The third phase of your natural hair growth cycle is the telogen phase, a resting period during which the strands remain in their follicles but do not actively grow.
It is estimated that 10-15 percent of your hair is in the telogen phase at any given time.
The telogen phase lasts about three months or 100 days.
Exogenous phase: The final stage of the hair growth cycle, when individual hair strands release from their follicles and fall out.
Now the whole process starts again.
“She’s probably the only person who can match the sleek bun! I look like an egg,” laughed a third.
As others insisted, the look doesn’t look good on anyone.
“I don’t think the completely smooth back is suitable for anyone,” one person insisted.
“The slick back looks bad on everyone,” another added.
“You’ve all been gaslighted and will also get traction alopecia if you keep doing it.”
“Everyone looks bald. That’s a fact,” said a third.
