Trump-Hating-Republican Adam Kinzinger has been accused of bringing his role in the spotlight in stopping a fatal knife attack in Milwaukee in 2006.
Kinzinger, 46, is widely praised for saving a young woman's life by struggling with a boyfriend on the ground in an act of heroism who started his political career.
Megan Boschi, 41, was that night on a date with Kinzinger. Now she wants to correct the record and say that she and others have also played 'crucial roles' when stopping a murder.
Kinzinger, then a 28-year-old pilot of the American Air Force, took the lead to confront the attacker, says Boschi, but other have-a-go-heroes were written in history.
Kinzinger talks about how he struggled Ryan Thundercloud in a new documentary, but not Boschi or someone else.
“I think the role of Adam in the army, most people focused on his story,” Boschi told DailyMail.com.
“But I was there, the man who jumped from his motorcycle was there, and the girl who had a complete strange bleed from her neck in her car was there too.”
She added: “We all played crucial roles in what happened that night.”

A police report from 2006 shows that Thundercloud, a schizophrenic who had skipped a dose of medicines, was drinking with his girlfriend Jeriann Lbermeir, in Milwaukee after midnight on August 17.
They got a small argument and, in an attack that Thundercloud put on his schizophrenia, he repeatedly hit Lobermeir and cut an eight-inch cut in her neck with a pocket knife.
He then chased her on the sidewalk while she begged for help from passing motorists.
Kinzinger and his then girlfriend, Boschi, saw the attack and stepped in, according to a copy of a Milwaukee Police Department report that was excavated in a request for public registers.
Kinzinger fought Thundercloud on the floor. Two other men passers -by helped Kinzinger to keep him under control, and Boschi took his knife and threw it over a fence, says the report.
Lbermeir was taken to the hospital and needed dozens of stitches.
Thundercloud, now 44, was arrested and accused of attempted murder. He did not argue on the basis of psychological problems and was locked up in an institution for almost ten years.
Kinzinger was lioned by local media and received the Airman medal in 2007 for Hero Dom.
That made its way for a political run that saw him chosen in the congress in 2010, where he represented Illinois from 2011 to 2023.
He served famous in the Select Committee that the American Capitol attack 2021 investigated and voted to accuse Donald Trump – which made him an unpopular bucket among the Republicans.

He did not seek re -election in 2022 and is now a talking head on CNN.
Kinzinger was one of the preventive grace granted by former President Joe Biden on his last day in office on Monday-one protection against reprisals of the incoming Trump administration.
In a new documentary about his career, the last Republican, Kinzinger experienced those hectic moments in Wisconsin.
“They say that in a crisis half of people run, 40 percent freezes and 10 percent act,” he recalls in the documentary.
He describes a 'close grapple' with his enemy of 5ft 10in and 220LBS that could have gone badly for him.
“I had his knife and I remember that I consciously felt the knife hand that I was trying to stab me, says Kinzinger.
“It's not a matter of pride now, it's a matter of life to win.”
Kinzinger says he could overwhelm Thundercloud and pelt him until the police arrived.

“That moment on that street in Milwaukee has completely changed my life,” he says.
Now, speaking exclusively with DailyMail.com, says Boschi, a married mother of two, that she wants to tell her side of the story.

She complains that 'my name was not mentioned' in records of the fatal night.
“When Jeriann approached us, we knew immediately that she had to go to a hospital, but could see Thundercloud follow,” she says.

“So while Adam approached him, she and I tried to mark a car to get her in a vehicle and get her medical help as quickly as possible.”
As soon as she had received Lobermeir in the safety of a vehicle, Boschi says that she had joined Kinzinger again.
“I came back and saw Adam on top of Thundercloud and another man on top of Adam, who had stopped his motorcycle to help,” says Boschi.
“I ran to them and took the knife from Thundercloud's hand and threw it as far away as I could.
She added: “They held it to him until the police popped up.”
Boschi, a radiologist whose maiden name was ALAND, complains that although high -flying politician Kinzinger is praised as a hero, she and the others were quickly forgotten.
“I don't know that Adam sold his role over that evening, because he took the initiative and the risk of approaching Thundercloud,” she says.
“But there were definitely a few others who were involved to help her save.”
Lbermeir, who has since changed her name to Aminah Hamdan, 40, has called Kinzinger a hero because he is in step and helped her that night.
But she also thanks Boschi and others and says that she is not sure who did what in the confused, fast -moving incident.

Hamdan has four children and is the founder of the official boutique for pets and other PET-careful companies
Hamdan told DailyMail.com that she 'didn't really see' that Thundercloud brought down.
Without the courage of all passers -by, Hamdan says that she could have stuck very well in a subsequent attack.
That would have left the one -year -old son who she shared with Thundercloud without a mother, she says.
And she would not have lived to have three other children and launch a hit dog care company.
“It changed the process of time for many people,” she said.
“There is a reason why God didn't just and brought me there at the time.”
