Disney Plus is returning to the world of WandaVision with the highly anticipated spinoff Agatha All Along. Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff has long been in the spotlight with the streamer’s first MCU original series. Now it’s Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness’ turn to shine.
As the trailer suggests, Agatha All Along finds Wanda’s witch nemesis in a precarious position: she’s lost all of her powers. With the help of a mysterious goth teen (played by Showstopper’s Joe Locke), Agatha assembles a motley crew of witches to aid her in her quest to walk the Witches’ Road — a gauntlet of trials and tests that, if passed, will restore her power.
The story of a powerless supernatural being who embarks on a mission to regain his otherworldly powers is not a new one, and it is the core of Sandman’s first season on Netflix.
If the story formula isn’t broken, why fix it?

Disney Plus has slowly been dipping its toes into the horror realm with recent outings like the Goosebumps reboot and 2022’s Werewolf By Night special. It’s been over three years since WandaVision brought Marvel’s Phase 4 to television, and now viewers are finally getting a full-length Marvel series filled with genre goodness. While fans await the return of Stranger Things and Wednesday, Agatha All Along is sure to scratch that spooky Halloween itch.
Joining Hahn and Locke in the series are Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, Debra Jo Rupp (as Mrs. Hart), Patti LuPone (as Lilia Calderu) and Aubrey Plaza. Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos and Jac Schaeffer.
Schaeffer, who previously wrote for WandaVision, is the showrunner and will direct the supernatural series alongside Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Montiero.
Agatha All Along will premiere the first two episodes on Wednesday, September 18 at 6:00 PM PT (9:00 PM ET, 2:00 AM BST) on Disney Plus.
