Husband and wife are arrested after another man is allegedly shot in the leg – police are looking for more suspects
A man and a woman have been arrested after another man was shot in the leg at a suburban home in the middle of the day.
Police were called to a house on Ferricks Street, in Brisbane’s northern suburb of Stafford, about 2pm on Sunday where they found a man in his 40s with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg.
CCTV footage obtained by Nine News showed a man with an apparent leg injury staggering into the house moments before a shot was heard.
A red Volkswagen with three people inside was then seen leaving the building.
Police, with the help of Polair, tracked the vehicle, which returned to the house shortly afterwards. A man and a woman were subsequently arrested.
The shooting victim was taken to the ambulance by ambulance.
Police are believed to be looking for one more person who may be involved.
According to a police spokesperson, there is no threat to public safety and it is believed that the pair are known to the victim.
