PlayStation Network is experiencing an outage, removing access to the online store and games
PlayStation Network services have been disabled on all platforms, preventing players from accessing PSN features, PlayStation Store, and several games. Affected users cannot log into their PSN account or go online. PlayStation Plus services are also down. Sony has confirmed that some PlayStation Network services were experiencing issues. The outage affects users on PS5, PS4, PS3, PS Vita and those trying to connect to PSN services on the web and other platforms.
PSN goes offline
Sonys PSN service status page confirmed the outage at 6:51 a.m. Tuesday, impacting account management, gaming and social media, and PlayStation Store services. “You may have trouble launching games, apps, or network functions. We will do our best to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience,” the page said.
Gadgets360 can confirm that the PSN network outage is also affecting users in India. At the time of writing, the PlayStation Store and PSN account are still inaccessible. On the PS5, launching the PlayStation Store gives the message: “Cannot load. Something went wrong. Please try again later.’
Several games get stuck on the opening screen when launching, and checking PlayStation Network status in Settings opens the same web page confirming network issues. The PSN account also remains offline and PS Plus services also do not start.
Although multiplayer games are not available, some offline games can be launched. However, single-player games that require connecting to PSN are also inaccessible.
It’s unclear what led to the PlayStation Network’s demise worldwide. Sony is working to bring its services online, but it’s unclear how long it will take for the issues to be resolved. We will update the story with any further developments.
