The father of a teenager murdered in a brutal gang-related knife crime stands for a test due to alleged threats of two people with a knife days after the end of the process.
Raymond Quigley, 61, is accused of two counts of threatening a person with an article in Wymondham, Norfolk.
Three days before the alleged violation – which he denies – two teenagers were convicted of killing his son, also known as James, in broad daylight for shocked shoppers.
Quigley, who lives in Wymondham, appeared last Thursday at Norwich Crown Court for a pre-trial review.
Judge Anthony Bate told him that the case would 'stay in the warned list of next week', which means that it could be heard at any time within the next two weeks from tomorrow.
Quigley is said to have made the threats on January 29 last year, just after Alfie Hammett and Joshua Howell, both then 19, were found guilty of killing his son.
The process, also at the Norwich Crown Court, heard that the murder was connected to another murder, with both the result of a violent rivalry between two gangs in the city.

Joe Dix, 18, a member of the infamous 3rdide crew, was stabbed to death in January 2022 by members of rival Mob Only the money (OTM) when he started to help a drug dealer of a province they robbed.
He ran seven wounds after a chase. Later, four bladder weapons were identified in the court as use, including a 24-inch sword.
James, from Wymondham, was killed because he was linked to OTM after attending the Dix murder process to support three friends who were in the dock.
His murderer, Hammett, lived in Ipswich on the bail of the police after a violent fight in which he was involved when he received a tip that the teenager was with friends in the city.
He confronted James and stabbed him four times, while Howell – a member of Ipswich's IP3 gang, who is affiliated with 3rdside – stopped his friends to intervene by handling a machete.
Later Hammett and Mr. Quigley had been a childhood friends before they were attracted to rival gangs.

During the trial, public prosecutor Andrew Jackson said that the murder was premeditated by a 'deep -rooted rivalry' between gangs

Hammett, Van Rushmere St Andrew and Howell, from Ipswich, were both imprisoned in March last year, with the first received a minimum 24-year term and had his accomplice 20 years.
The case led to judge Martyn Levett to change the 'frequency and levels of violence' between groups of criminals to change cities in no-go areas.
“This knife crime destroys the historic tranquility of cities, making them unsafe to visit,” he said.
Mr Dix's parents later set up the Joe Dix Foundation to increase the awareness of the dangers of exploiting children, gangs and knife crime.
They were not aware of his dark lifestyle, but later learned that 'like other children', he was attracted by getting the drug activities by getting a package to deliver and then was overwhelmed to 'leave him in debt'. He was then unable to leave the gang for fear of violent reprisals.
