Campaigners for women's rights were all refused in a pub after a manager claimed that he heard one of them insulting the Pride flag.
The fiasco went in the castle in Nottingham last night when a group of gamblers came by for a pint in the aftermath of a Let Women Speak event.
It is because some had worn t-shirts with slogans such as 'adult human wife' and 'Save Women's Sports'.
But an employee claimed that one of the pub goers to a pride flag had referred to the counter as the 'pedo flag'.
Writer and campaigner Jean Hatchet – who said she had nothing to do with the alleged comment and “didn't know who said something” – described the situation as “bizarre.”
She said to MailOnline: 'I have no idea why I was responsible. He was watched by women who were not proven and I thought it was a problem with me and my partner (girlfriend).
“I was just a woman at the bar and asked for two pints of lager. It felt pretty hostile and was actually upset – there was no basis to refuse us. '
In a recording of the confrontation, the man who refuses service authorities refuses to a pride at the counter.
A female employee had told MS Hatchett and her partner prior to the intervention of the male bartender: 'If you are with that large group, we will no longer serve you'

He says to MS Hatchet: 'You are sitting with the same group. I can't have such comments.
She [the customer] called it a pedo flag. She said, “That's my flag except the piece at the bottom”. “
A woman in the recording can be heard in the distance and clarified: 'I never said that. I said that is my flag, not the other – not the pedo flag. '
Operated, the bartender answers: “She just said it again.”
The 'other' flag to which is referred is conceived as the 'progress' pride flag – a modern interpretation of the original with a part intended to represent transgender people.

She added: 'I have the right to refuse service to whom I want. I don't feel comfortable to serve you. '
The male bartender then said: “I was told to refuse you service for that comment.”

Mrs. Hatchet answers: 'Why do you refuse me service for a comment that I have not made?
'You don't know who my friend is and who is not. I did nothing wrong. I just sat there and quietly drank my drink. '
Mrs. Hatchet later told MailOnline that she thought that the actions of the staff were 'clear discrimination' under the Equality Act 2010.
The law states that a company cannot reject a customer based on sex, sexual orientation and religion and faith, in addition to other protected characteristics.
Mrs. Hatchet, who said she had only walked into the pub with her partner, added that there had been 'nothing inflammatory' in her clothing, but that she thought 'other women were being judged'.
She said: 'There was no basis to refuse us. He stood on women who were not proven. I wasn't drunk. It was very strange behavior. '
