Google Cloud unveils major infrastructure investments in Southeast Asia

Google has announced a $1 billion investment in building a data center in Thailand to help meet the growing demand for cloud storage and AI toolloads in Southeast Asia (SEA).

The news, per Reuterscoming hot on the heels of Google Cloud announces a multi-year agreement to provide sovereign cloud services to Malaysia this week, as well as a $2 billion investment in building a data center as a first step in SEA back in May 2024.
