Use these Amazon Prime benefits during October’s Prime Day
Amazon’s October Prime Day event is next week (October 8 and 9) and you can expect some of the biggest deals of the year. If you don’t already have a Prime subscription, you can sign up for the free trial to get exclusive offers, but there are plenty of other benefits that make it worth staying subscribed once your trial ends. Amazon has even put together a special web page where members can take advantage of all the benefits offered through membership.

Free same-day delivery on eligible items
If you want a product immediately, you can see if it is still available the same day you order. To check if a product qualifies, look for a delivery marked “Prime FREE Same-Day” while shopping. Please note that your order must contain more than $35 worth of eligible items. If this is not the case, you will have to pay a small fee.
Amazon delivers from morning to evening, so you don’t have to worry about receiving your order at 3am. Same-day delivery is not available at all locations, so please enter your zip code into the Amazon page for same day delivery to see if you qualify.
Alexa offers discounts when you shop with an Echo
You can use your Amazon Echo to ask “Alexa, what are my deals?anytime. Alexa will then share exclusive Prime deals and you have the option to add the item to your cart, buy it now or move on to the next deal.
Schedule specific package shipping dates
Everyone knows about Amazon’s free two-day shipping, but another option is choose a delivery date during checkout. It’s called Amazon Day and it’s useful if there’s a specific day where you know someone will be home to answer packages, especially if it’s something expensive that you don’t want to leave unattended.
If you order multiple items on different days, you can have them delivered on the same day as long as they qualify for this offer.
Track your packages with an Amazon Echo
If you have a Amazon echo of any kindyou can use it to track your orders.
Just say “Alexa, where is my package?” and your Echo will let you know where it is, who it is for and when it will arrive. Once your order has been delivered, the Echos the ring light flashes yellow and if you have the Echo Show, the delivery notification will appear on the screen.
Get Early Access deals before non-members
If something you’ve been looking at says “Prime Early Access,” as a Prime member you can shop that sale 30 minutes earlier than non-Prime members. You’ll still have to compete with other Prime members who are interested in the product before it sells out.
Have Amazon packages delivered to your garage

Send gifts to Prime members without an address
An Amazon Prime feature lets you send someone a gift, even if you don’t have their address. For example, if you want to send a colleague something for the holidays or his birthday, but you don’t know the address, you can still send a gift.

There’s a catch: that person must also have a Prime account, and you’ll need their phone number or email address associated with the account. Please note that not every item on Amazon is eligible.
Share your Prime benefits with someone else
If you have another adult living in your household, such as a partner or friend, you can share your Prime membership with them. You can still keep your personal accounts separate, but you’ll both have access to the same Prime benefits.
You can also share your account with up to four teens and up to four children in your household. Even though they have their own logins, you can still manage their profiles.
