Workspace users must be subscribed to a Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, Education Premium, or Google One AI Premium plan to access the functionality.
With the Gmail Q&A feature rolling out on iOS, users can have a conversation with the Gemini-powered chatbot while gaining insight into the emails in their inbox.
Users can ask AI a number of specific questions about their emails, asking it to show unread messages, show emails from a specific sender, summarize emails on a common topic, and extract vague details from a specific email. search for email. How to use Gmail’s Q&A feature
To use the feature, users must tap the black Gemini star (or sparkle icon) at the top right of the app. Alternatively, users can tap the ‘summary of this email’ chip in an email thread.
Users can also ask Gmail Q&A vague questions, such as “What was the theme of the last office party?” and Gemini can find it by looking through the inbox. The feature currently only supports the English language.
The feature is currently rolling out, but it may take up to 15 days for users to see its visibility in the Gmail app.
