Primark’s best buys for autumn
Going to Primark soon? Keep an eye on these articles.
Here, Fabulous fashion editor Clemmie Fieldsend reveals her top 6 purchases at Primark this autumn.
Jacket£60
I know what you’re thinking: ‘£60 for Primark?’ Yes, it’s a higher price tag than we’re used to from Primark, but it’s worth every penny.
It’s from their Edit range, which is more premium than the rest of their collection and is built to last.
It’s a blended wool blend that’s durable and warm, plus a timeless, straight silhouette that’s slightly oversized and will last this season and for years to come.
Bag, £16
Big bags are back… Finally in a big way.
This tote bag exudes luxury with its crocodile effect and burnt orange colour, plus it’s ideal for packing your laptop, lunch, spare shoes, handbag – basically everything you need for the day – all for £16.
Jacket£32
Field jackets can be found on the backs of celebrities and catwalk models this season, with designer brands Barbour, Burberry and Bottega all favoring the functional look.
Great for wearing over jeans or contrasting with a floral or flowy dress, they are the perfect transitional jacket.
Dress£18,
You may have seen, heard and read that leopard print isn’t going anywhere in the fall, so to define the trend, this dress is a must.
Sleeves? Bill. Midi length? Bill. Ultra flattering square neck? Bill. It has it all.
Combine with black knee-high boots or your favorite sneakers during the day and dress up with gold heels and accessories in the evening.
Jeans£16
Barrel, balloon, horseshoe: whatever you want to call them, this is this season’s must-have pant shape.
I tried Primark’s pair and they fit like a dream, are comfortable and flattering.
So if you don’t think you have anything that’s quite on trend, swapping your favorite denim for this style will bring you right up to date.
Boots, £24
It’s boot season and instead of feeling like you have to buy one in every color, length and height, it’s best to stick with a pair that you can wear with the majority of your wardrobe.
My jaw nearly hit the floor when I saw that this black, knee-high block heel with flat point and side zip (so no tug-of-war to get them off at the end of the day) was just £24.
If you buy one thing this season, it should be these.
Hair Mask – L’Oréal Absolute Repair dupe, save £20
Are your locks in dire need of some TLC? While L’Oreal’s Absolute Repair hair mask costs £26, Primark’s version costs just £6.
The guru said, “Now that the weather is colder, my hair feels very dry, but it feels so soft and shiny after using this.
“I swear I feel like I just had a salon treatment.”
Hair Oil – Olaplex No.7 dupe, saves £22.50
Olaplex’s hair oil costs £27 – significantly more expensive than Primark’s alternative, which costs just £4.50.
The expert said: “My hairdresser recommended the original to me, but I couldn’t bring myself to buy it.
“This does the same thing, and I use it on damp hair because it doubles as a heat protectant.”
Mia says: “Primark’s latest beauty range is great quality without the high price tag.
”They’ve created products that fit seamlessly into any routine, and honestly, it’s hard to understand why anyone would spend more when these do the job just as well.
“Definitely worth a try before they sell out.”
