A young man has tragically died at a music festival in Sydney.

The man, in his 20s, died at the Knockout Outdoor Music Festival in Sydney Olympic Park at 11.50pm on Saturday.

NSW Police said the man suffered a medical episode and could not be resuscitated by paramedics after emergency services arrived on the scene.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

Police Commissioner Karen Webb confirmed on Sunday that there had been ‘some hospital admissions due to drug use or drug intake’.

“It’s always risky when you use illegal drugs, you never know where they were made,” Ms Webb said.

As many as 60,000 people attended the music festival this weekend.

Two men, aged 26 and 21, died in separate incidents at around 1am after last year’s knockout event.
