NASA postpones the Europa Clipper mission with SpaceX due to Hurricane Milton

NASA and SpaceX have postponed the launch of the Europa Clipper mission due to the threat of Hurricane Milton. NASA Senior Launch Director Tim Dunn confirmed that protecting the spacecraft and ensuring the safety of the launch crew was the top priority. Hurricane Milton threatens Florida’s Space Coast

Hurricane Milton is expected to bring severe weather, including heavy rain and high winds, to the east coast of Florida, where KSC is located. Both NASA and SpaceX opted to halt the launch in response to the predicted storm. The team will reassess the situation once Hurricane Milton passes and a facilities assessment is completed. Dunn assured that the mission will resume as soon as it is safe to do so.
