The drink, once Britain’s favorite bottled beer, was adored by Prince Philip, who drank one every night.
Announcing the comeback, Staffordshire brewery Allsopp’s said: “Revived as a 3.8 percent pale ale, it’s a delicious, easy-drinking draft beer coming to your favorite pubs very soon.”
Many will remember Double Diamond for its advertising slogans, including “You’re only here for the beer” and “Double Diamond works wonders,” as well as the claim “everyone feels better” after drinking it.
The DD board was one of the most famous ever.
