Lou Teasdale’s transformation from 1D stylist to Andy Carroll’s super-toned WAG
SHE is the new woman on the arm of ex-England striker Andy Carroll, but even the most devoted One Direction fans would be hard-pressed to recognize the group’s former stylist Lou Teasdale.
With her dark brown locks, minimal makeup and covered arms, Lou looks completely different from the pink hairy, tattooed hairdresser who drove fans wild with envy in the band’s early days, as they toured for months with Harry Styles and bandmates.
While football star Andy’s estranged wife Billie Mucklow is ditching her wedding ring following their split in July, he and 40-year-old Lou have been spotted having coffee together after sources confirmed they had gone on a string of dates.
Mother-of-one Lou, whose daughter Lux is now 13, has also reportedly romanced David Walliams and SAS: Who Dares Wins star Jay Morton and appears to have undergone a radical transformation since her X Factor days.
Here’s SARAH MORTON and Celebrity PR expert Edward Hopkins explores her style evolution, from cute girl stylist to meditation-loving entrepreneur…
Born to stand out
Before she even started working as a hairstylist on The X Factor in the mid-1990s, Lou was busy making waves in the fashion and beauty sector together with her twin sister Sam.

Growing up in Hull, East Yorks, the girls were always experimenting with different colors in their hair.
Lou revealed: “We mixed our own hair dye by diluting the granny blue rinse.” She also admitted that she would rock “big dreadlocks” as a teenager.
At the age of 18, the twins moved to London, where Lou started working in the music industry.
With her rainbow-colored locks, often dyed pink or platinum blonde, and bright red lips, Lou was born to stand out — even if that’s a far cry from her minimal makeup look of late.
In 2015, she revealed during a beauty interview that her makeup go-to was a “red lip,” though she tellingly added, “I think dark lipstick is a no-no on older women.” I think it makes you older.”
Ten years later, she seems to be sticking to her own advice.
Ed Hopkins says Lou’s ability to match the youthfulness of her clients in the early days helped her stand out in the industry and earned her millions of followers on social media.
“By fully embracing a cute, colorful look with her rainbow hues and playful makeup, an aesthetic that perfectly matched the band’s youthful, fun image, she stood out as a trusted stylist,” he says.
The toned down look
Not only did Lou have an incredibly close relationship with One Direction, but he also hired Louis Tomlinson’s sister, Lottie, as an assistant when she was just 15.
They have since co-founded the tanning brand Tanologist, proving that Lou’s influence in the beauty industry is enormous.
While promoting the product five years ago, Lou debuted a much toned-down look, where her long locks remained golden brown but the makeup was minimized, no doubt to show off the tan.
This shift showed that Lou was more than just a stylist; she became a businesswoman with a keen eye for design

It reportedly caught the attention of David Walliams, who had already worked with Lou on Britain’s Got Talent.
The pair reportedly dated briefly before he reportedly started seeing one of Lou’s now best friends, Ashley Roberts.
Lou was also famously best friends with the late Caroline Flack before her death in 2020 and she joined fellow X Factor alumnus Olly Murs on a charity walk to raise money for a charity in Caroline’s memory.
Pale blond locks
As she looked to break away from the hairdressing industry, Lou turned herself into something of an interiors expert, managing to land high-profile pieces in expensive magazines showcasing the 2021 renovation of her Hackney home.
And with the career pivot came a whole new look. Gone were the bleach blonde locks of yesteryear, replaced instead by honey-highlighted hair, once again less makeup and a more refined style. Ed thinks it’s an incredibly smart move.
Her more provocative social media presence suggests she’s embracing a sexier, more daring persona
Edward Hopkins
“This shift showed that Lou was more than just a stylist; she became a businesswoman with a keen eye for design,” he explains.
“This broadened her appeal to an audience beyond pop culture and joined the growing trend of celebrities making moves in real estate and interior design.”
The sultry sex kitten
Following her split from SAS star Jay, with whom she dated between April 2022 and January last year, and in the months leading up to her meeting former British frontman Andy, Lou upped the ante on social media with a slew post provocative images. showing off her petite body, often in very naughty poses.
Whether she’s flashing her nipples under a tiny top or collaborating with luxury lingerie companies to promote saucy new collections, she’s managed to transform from a cute pop princess into a sultry sex kitty. Again, Ed thinks it’s a great career move.
The association ‘WAG’ brings a new layer to its public image
Edward Hopkins
“With her sexy era, Lou retooled her image,” he explains.
“Her more provocative social media presence suggests she is embracing a sexier, more daring persona.
This is likely a strategic move to enter the world of influencer marketing, where an edgier look can attract big money from fashion and lifestyle brands.
It’s a bold choice that shows off her versatility, and it could very well boost her entrepreneurial brand by keeping her front-of-mind with new, older audiences.”
The new WAG in town
It’s no wonder she caught the attention of athlete Andy. Lou has been showing off a very ‘sporty’ vibe lately, sharing selfies at the gym or showing off her meditation and yoga skills to fans on social media.
And Ed believes that from now on, being a WAG won’t hurt Lou at all.
“The ‘WAG’ association adds a new layer to its public image,” he explains.
“From a PR perspective, being tied to a high-profile, divorced footballer may pose risks, but it is also an opportunity to expand her story.
“People will be curious about her personal life, but Lou has always been more than the roles she plays steps inside.
“As she continues to focus on her own brand and business ventures, this relationship will not overshadow her career – it will simply add more interest to an already dynamic profile.”
What happened to Andy Carroll and Billi Mucklow’s marriage?
Andy Carroll and his reality TV star wife Billi Mucklow have revealed they are divorcing after a turbulent two-year marriage.
In a statement, the ex-England, Newcastle and Liverpool striker said: “Billi and I privately separated earlier this year and we are underway with our divorce proceedings. It has been a difficult few months for our family and we continue to move forward amicably for our children.”
The couple, who share three children, had been together for 11 years.
A source told us: “Andy and Billi care deeply about each other and have made great memories together, but decided it was best for the family if they went their separate ways after growing apart.
