Lush launches the Halloween countdown calendar, perfect for the spooky season
Most of us automatically think of Christmas when we hear the words ‘Advent calendar’ – but now Lush have completely changed the game.
The traditional countdown calendars usually get us excited for December 25 by treating us to small gifts, sweet chocolates or festive treats.

But now, fans of the spooky season can get in on the action after the beauty brand launched a brand new Halloween countdown calendar.
The incredible set includes seven supernatural bath, shower and… body treats to enjoy in the run-up to the spookiest night of the year.
And it’s the perfect gift for those who want it Love the spooky season, where they are given one product per day as they anticipate the arrival of the night of terror.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of the boxes and was completely mesmerized by the incredible array of treats inside.
The countdown calendar itself, a first for Lush, comes in a wonderfully spooky, colorful box decorated with all our favorite Halloween characters.
Green-colored ghosts and pumpkins sit next to black cats, spiders and bats on one blue background with two doors in the front held together with green ribbon.
The box then opens to reveal a series of black numbered doors each hiding a Halloween product, which will open in the last week of October.
The thought that went into the design of this box is incredible: each door is expertly designed with artwork of jack-o-lanterns, creepy crawlies, bats and ghosts.
There is also a label on which all products are visible, but we do not show that because we want to to leave some of it as a surprise.
For that reason, I opened only four of the seven doors and left the other three closed until the days before Halloween.
Behind door number one lies the wonderfully fruity Batcurrent lip scrub that is perfect for dry, flaky lips this fall.
Describing the product, Lush experts said: “Your wingman Batcurrant is here to scrub lips smooth with exfoliating caster sugar.
“Jojoba oil and Fair Trade shea butter moisturize and soften lips, while the sweet candy notes of fruity blackcurrant absolute and juicy davana oil will drive you crazy.”
I then immediately jumped to door number three, where the Punkin Pumpkin pool was bomb was waiting anxiously.
This bath treat is infused with uplifting cinnamon, lime and sweet wild orange that… water into a delicious brew that is clear and refreshing.
Plus, it also smells incredible with its warming citrus scent.
The mystical Magic Potion bath bomb then hid behind door number five.
The beauty brand describes it online: “Lush Product Inventor Michelle was inspired by childhood trips to the garden to collect flowers and leaves for potions.
“This sweet floral bath bomb is a nod to the imagination that turns bathtubs into cauldrons and sticks into magic wands.
‘SECRET MESSAGES’
A WOMAN has revealed she was stunned when she discovered a ‘secret message’ on her Lush hair conditioner.
Brooke drank the Super Milk spray from the beloved store after hearing about the lingering smell on social media.
But then she made another discovery, after learning that stickers on Lush products showing which employee made them carry a message.
Brooke admitted in a TikTok video that she was “living under a rock” and said she “never knew that” so she wanted to see if it was true.
When she peeled off the sticker on the Super Milk spray, she saw that it said, “Do you have plant-based milk?”
Brooke then went looking for another Lush product to see what was underneath the sticker on it.
She found a shower gel from the Shrek range and underneath the sticker it said “there’s an arrow in your ass”.
According to Lush itself, the secret messages are intended for the person who puts the stickers on the jar or bottle, so that he or she knows exactly where to place them.
Fill your bath and drop it in to hear the crackle of real popping candy, while mood-boosting dragon fruit powder and the scents of ylang ylang and clove oil fill the air.
“Then sit in it and feel like a really good witch while you suck away your worries.”
The last door I opened was number seven, which revealed the perfect product for any Halloween lover: a bar of Pumpkin Pie soap.
A skin-soothing soap is so good it’s terrifying — it’s packed with a rich blend of pumpkin puree and maple sap to leave skin feeling soft and supple no matter how many times you wash it.
And it smells divine thanks to the blend of grapefruit and petitgrain oils that create a citrusy aroma.
It also has a green lightness that leaves the skin feeling fresh, say Lsuh experts.
But if you want to know what door number two, four and six are, you’ll have to buy it yourself!
