I’m a dating expert. There are five major signs that your husband is cheating on you
According to a dating expert, there are five key signs to look out for that your new man is cheating on you.
Romance guru Jana Hocking works closely with men of all relationship statuses to decipher their infidelity patterns.
Her research has provided plenty of advice for women who doubt the loyalty of their boyfriend or husband.
Jana has discovered that there are five ‘sly early signs’ that your new friend might be playing elsewhere on the field.
However, her tips also apply to long-term relationships.
“If your gut tells you they’re cheating, they usually are,” she explains in an article for news.com.au.
“Annoyingly, our intuition is rarely correct.”
Jana’s second piece of advice centered around an Instagram feature that tells you everything you need to know about your new man.
“If they follow a LOT of bikini-clad women on Instagram, chances are they’re also sending these girls emojis in their DMs,” she warned.
“The amount of money I get from men with partners in their profile pictures is outrageous, and I’m a five compared to the tens they follow as well.”
She also urged suspected women to “keep an eye on” their friends.
“Keep an eye on your friends,” Jana joked.
“Many of the adultery stories involved mutual friends of the couple, rather than strangers.”
Her fourth tip was to ask your husband’s friends whether he is faithful or not.
“Women keep their cheating habits very secret, men brag,” she explained.
“They brag A LOT.
Celebrities who have admitted to cheating
- Basketball player Tristan Thompson admitted to cheating on Khloe Kardashian in 2018 and again in 2021, both times around the birth of their children True and Tatum
- England’s Kyle Walker fathered two children behind wife Annie Kilner’s back and admits betraying his ‘soulmate and best friend’ in an interview with The Sun in January 2024
- Pro golfer Tiger Woods was caught cheating on his wife of six years, Elin Nordegren, and confessed during a press conference in 2009.
“So if your guy cheats, his friends probably know about it.
“Ask around.”
Jana’s fifth piece of advice was to ‘become curious’ about your partner’s phone.
“Phones hide a lot of sins,” she said.
“If your partner suddenly becomes very protective of their phone, be curious.”

Four warning signs that your partner is cheating
Private investigator Aaron Bond from BondRees revealed four warning signs that your partner may be cheating.
They start taking their phones everywhere
In close relationships, it is normal to know each other’s passwords and use each other’s phones. If their phone habits change, they may be hiding something.
Aaron says, “If your partner starts changing his password, taking his phone everywhere, even around the house, or if he gets defensive when you ask to use his phone, this could be a sign that he’s not being faithful. “
“You should also look at how they put their phone down when not in use. If they look at the phone with the screen facing down, they may be hiding something.”
They start telling you less about their day
If partners cheat, they may start avoiding you. This could be because they feel guilty or because it is easier for them to lie to you.
“If you feel like your partner suddenly starts avoiding you and stops wanting to do things with you or stops talking about their day, this is another warning sign.”
“Partners often avoid their spouses or tell them less about their day because cheating can be difficult, remembering all your lies is impossible, and it’s an easy way to get caught,” says Aaron.
Their libido changes
Your partner’s libido can change for a variety of reasons, so it might not be a sure sign of cheating, but Aaron says it can be a warning sign.
Aaron says: “Cheaters often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but occasionally they may also have more sex at home. This is because they feel guilty and use this increase in sex to hide their cheating. You may also find that your partner will introduce new things into your sex life that were not there before.”
They become negative towards you
Cheaters know that cheating is wrong and for them it will feel good. This can cause tension and anxiety within themselves that they will have to justify.
“To release the tension they feel inside, they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and out of nowhere become critical of you. Maybe you didn’t walk the dog that day, do the dishes, or do a book read. Book to your children before bed. A small problem like this can now feel like a big problem and if you experience this, your partner may be cheating,” Aaron warns.
