Aldi shoppers are rushing to get their hands on some seriously cheap toys
SHOPPERS are running to the nearest Aldi to buy toys at a discount.
This comes after a mum spotted a bargain in her local shop that was too good to miss – and it’s perfect to store away until Christmas.
We go to the popular money saving Facebook group Extreme coupons and bargains In Britain, which has more than 2.5 million members, a mother bought a scooter for less than a pound.
“I walked into the Aldi toy event. Came out with a Gabby’s scooter for 99 cents,” she wrote in the group, alongside a get it of the bargain.
In the photo, the mother showed off the cute scooter on the shelf with the price tag on it of just 99 cents.
Unsurprisingly, other parents were stunned by the mega-cheap scooter and wanted to make a deal themselves. The post currently has over 370 comments from other Aldi fans.
One commented on the post: “This is such a good find, well done.”
“Love this, well done,” wrote a second.
And a third chimed in, tagging a friend: “This would be great for Christmas.”
Meanwhile, others pointed out that they had not yet spotted the same scooter in their nearest Aldi.
However, the scooter is not the only toy that parents love; the retailer has also released a range of wooden toys, perfect if you want something classic for your little ones.
The range varies widely and includes items such as Wooden 2D animals on wheels and a Wooden climbing triangle and cube.
One mother shared some of the toys in the same Facebook group, but parents quickly noticed that the toys were quickly selling out.
“The kitchens in our store sold out in five minutes, many grabbed and blocked with carts,” she said.
“I helped a few people get to the pieces they wanted in the madness.”
A second had a similar experience when trying to get their hands on the toy: “My Aldi was almost completely sold out by the time I got there.”
Other gift ideas include a brand new gift Wooden horse box and a Beauty station to let your child’s imagination run wild, both available for €24.99 each.
Shoppers will have to act quickly, however, as the range sold out when it was released last year.
The chain also presented its top 10 wooden toys as gifts to “help mom, dad and Santa’s little helper with what to choose.”
The list includes, in no particular order:
The discount retailer chain also brings the wooden Cuthbert which previously caused a stir among M&S fans.
How to save money at Aldi
Unlike other major supermarkets, Aldi does not have a savings or points card system, but that doesn’t mean you can’t save on your shopping.
Every week the store publishes a list of special purchases, which are unique bargains that you can find online at Aldi and in store.
The store releases a new range of deals every Thursday and Sunday, so check back often to see what’s new.
Meanwhile, the store also regularly sells fruit and vegetables at heavily reduced prices, as part of its ‘super six’ deal.
It also does weekly savings offers on typically expensive items such as meat and fish.
