Out of anger over Canadian minister's comments, Pannun threatens to 'Balkanize' India
TOI correspondent from London: The general counsel of a banned outfit Sikhs for justice (SFJ), Gurpatwant Singh Pannunlabeled a terrorist by India, has made a video that again makes threats against Indian sovereignty, this time threatening to start independence movements in states other than Punjab.
“SFJ Mission 2024 ONE India To 2047 NONE India,” Pannun declares in his latest video in response to Canadian Deputy Foreign Minister David Morrison saying, “Canada’s policy is very clear that the territorial integrity of India must be respected. There is one India, and that has been made very clear.”
Morrison had made the comments earlier this month during a public hearing of Canada’s Foreign Interference Commission in Ottawa.
SFJ is holding an unofficial global referendum on creating a sovereign state called Khalistan out of Punjab, despite hardly any support for it within Punjab.
In the video, Pannun, an American lawyer living in New York City, threatens to foment independence movements in Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Manipur and Nagaland and then, “as in Punjab,” “bring the Union of India into the Balkans.” to take”. Addressing Chinese President Xi Jinping, he says “now is the time to order the Chinese army to take back Arunachal Pradesh” and falsely claims that “Arunachal Pradesh is the territory of China”.
“SFJ will continue to use the protection and support of Canadian and American laws to continue campaigning for independence movements to balkanize and disintegrate the Union of India,” Pannun threatens in front of a poster with the words “2047 No India.”
“By 2047, the current borders and boundaries of the Union of India will be redrawn and wiped off the world map,” he threatens. The video ends lightning fast.
