The brunette beauty revealed she had suffered from hair loss for years and shared a photo of the damage.

Kaja had bald spots and thinning hair all along her hairline, but was unable to grow it back.

Desperate for results, she decided to try the viral hair oiling trend, but saw no results.

Many people use diluted rosemary oil on their scalp because some studies have shown that it helps stimulate new growth, but it didn’t work for hair.

Instead, she decided to try a 10-second treatment and was stunned to see the impressive results.

She said her hairline went from bald to filled with luscious hair in just six months and it was all thanks to minoxidil.

She started treatment in October and her hairline was restored by March.

Kaja wrote: “Okay, not the most flattering photos, but too good not to share!

“I have been experiencing hair loss lately, probably due to stress.

“I started oiling hair in October 2023, but it didn’t help me much, so in January I started using minoxidil and saw immediate results.”

I’m a hair care pro and swear by 9 washing rules, they’ve helped my shoulder length locks grow down to my waist and it only takes seconds

Now Kaja’s hair is growing back with the purchase, which costs £25 from Amazon for two months’ supply.

The clip went viral on her TikTok account @kajahoglund with over 3 million views and 72,000 likes.

People were quick to share their thoughts on the hair treatment.

One person wrote: “Have you used it once a day? And how do you apply it? I feel like it only gets into my hair and not on my scalp.”

Is Minoxidil safe?

Minoxidil is a hair loss treatment that is taken orally or topically to help hair grow back.

The NHS states that Minoxidil is generally well tolerated and most people do not experience any side effects. It is therefore unlikely that you will experience side effects with the low dose of minoxidil.

However, the following side effects have occurred with higher doses of minoxidil:

  • Fluid retention (causing weight gain and/or swelling of the ankle)
  • Increased heart rate and palpitations
  • Chest pain and/or shortness of breath
  • Low blood pressure causing dizziness and fainting
  • Increased hair growth on face and body
  • Skin rash
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Sensitive breasts
  • Abnormalities in blood tests.

When starting minoxidil, some people experience an increase in the hair loss cycle. This usually disappears within the first six weeks of treatment.

This treatment is not recommended for people already taking medications to lower their blood pressure (antihypertensives).

Because alcohol lowers blood pressure, we recommend that you reduce intake during oral treatment with minoxodil.

Currently, there is no evidence to confirm that minoxodil is safe to use if you are trying to conceive, pregnant, or breastfeeding. For this reason, we would not recommend this treatment to women in this group.

“I part my hair and spray it on my scalp every morning and evening. Then I brush it through my hair. I haven’t had any problems with a dry scalp,” Kaja revealed.

Another commented: “This gave me a lot of hope.”

“I need this, I’m almost bald,” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “I used regularly and JA helped me a lot, but after 2 months of stopping I lost a lot again.”

“Thanks for sharing,” a fifth claimed.

Someone else added: “I will take minoxidil until the day I die because my hair is blooming (I take it orally).”

Tips for hair loss

According to statistics, we can lose between 50 and 100 hairs per day NHS.

Normally this is not something to worry about, but occasionally it can be a sign of a medical problem.

These include illness, stress, cancer treatment, weight loss and iron deficiency.

The NHS recommends that you make an appointment with your GP to see if you can identify the cause of it.

Experts at Association of the American Academy of Dermatology also recommend eating healthy, limiting curling irons and using them only for special occasions.

They also recommend using a gentle shampoo and using leave-in conditioners.
