Teddi Mellencamp has revealed that 'multiple tumors' have been found on her brain – and she will now undergo surgery today.
In a statement on her Instagram, Mellencamp revealed that the tumors were discovered after 'a few weeks' of 'serious and debilitating headache'.
Mellencamp today removed two tumors, with the remaining 'smaller tumors' being treated at a later time 'through radiation'.
The devastating news comes in the midst of Teddi's fight against skin cancer, which started in 2022.
Although it is unclear which type of tumor has been discovered, skin cancer can spread to the brain and cause brain tumors, known as brain metastasis.
'In recent weeks I have had to deal with serious and debilitating headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization, “said Teddi, the daughter of the American singer John Mellencamp, in her statement.
