Jcpenney, one of the most dominant department stores in America, announced that it will close eight stores this year.
The move will influence less than 2 percent of the company's more than 650 locations.
Each closure is in a different state. Customers will soon find the sale of liquidation in various regions in the US, including locations in the northeast, midwest and southwest.
The announcement comes as American stores accelerate the closures of the retail trade.
Dozens of gigantic chains – including Macy's, Party City and Big Lot – launched a huge series of store cupboard in the middle of changing customer trends.
A study has recently been shown that retailers throughout America are expected to accelerate the closures of the store to 15,000 closed locations this year. Just over 7,300 stores closed the store last year.
However, a JCpenney spokesperson said that the brand limits the closures to a 'handful' locations. They are expected to be closed by the end of the year.
“The decision to close a store is never easy, but insulated closures are made from time to time due to expiring lease agreements, market changes or other factors,” the spokesperson told Daily Mail.

A brand transition
JCPENNEY recently undergone a major transformation after years of financial struggles.
The department store declared bankruptcy in 2020 and closed at around 200 locations while it refinanced its debts.
Mall Operators Simon Property Group and Brookfield Asset Management Inc. Bought the brand as it came from bankruptcy seven months later.
The retailer mentioned the delay in consumer demand, in particular during COVID-19 Lockdowns, as a key factor in his economic problems.
The brand also decided to close four more stores in August 2024.
But the company originated from its financial struggle and has recently announced an important transition in its ownership structure.
