BJP indulges in 'satta jihad': Uddhav Thackeray during Dussehra rally
MUMBAI: Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday said that once the MVA government is elected, he will scrap the contract of the Dharavi Redevelopment Project and ensure that Mumbai is not looted by the project. Uddhav addressed his party’s annual report Dussehra meeting in Dadar’s Shivaji Park.
Echoing Prime Minister Modi’s comments that Congress will appropriate ‘mangalsutras’ of women and give them to people with more children, Uddhav said he will not allow people’s mangalsutras to be given to Adani group is given, nor that Adani will tie his mangalsutra on Maharashtra. Taking a dig at the BJP, they say that while they accused the opposition of ‘vote jihad’, they indulged in ‘satta (power) jihad’ because they wanted power at any cost. Advising CJI DY Chandrachud, Uddhav said, “If you want to make a name for yourself in history, then this is the time to save democracy”. He said the CJI has to take a decision (on the Shiv Sena MLA’s disqualification case).
Uddhav said that Home Minister Amit Shah said that they wanted 100% BJP (in Maharashtra) by 2029, which meant that BJP has already written the due date of Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar. Taking a dig at Ajit, Uddhav said it has come to light that the Rs 70,000 crore scammers will also come out in shame (from Mahayuti). They are also ashamed of the enormous corruption of this government, he said.
