NEW DELHI: President’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir has been revoked, according to an official order, paving the way for the formation of a new government in the union territory.
The decision comes after National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday to stake claim for the formation of a new government after the recently concluded Assembly elections in J&K.
The assembly elections in the union territory took place after ten years.
