Igloo coolers accidentally took the tailgate 'finger food' in an unintended direction.
The company recalls more than 1 million of its popular 90-liter coolers in wheels after several reports of fingertip-amputations and crushing injuries.
The mass recalls that are sold at large retailers, including Costco, Target, Dick's Sporting Goods and Amazon between January 2019 and January 2025.
The culprit behind this hair -raising safety problem is the design of the cooler of the cooler, which can create a dangerous bottleneck against the body of the cooler.
The recall influences the Igloo 90-QT. Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers made before January 2024, which include several product lines, including the Latitude, MaxCold and Ecocool series.
The company has received 12 reports of serious fingerties, including full amputations, bone fractures and deep cracks.
“Consumers must immediately stop using the recalled coolers,” wrote the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in its warning. 'Contact Igloo for a free replacement handle.
The coolers sold between $ 80 and $ 140.

Igloo has issued a recall for a number of popular coolers
Dozens of customers left positive evaluations on the production pages of the cooler.
In 102 reviews on the IGLOO website, the roller Cooler from the Ecocool Latitude received 90-QT 4.2 out of five stars.
But different customers had complaints about the tools.
“This cooler manages to keep things cold, but the body design and the quality of the plastic are bad,” wrote a customer in their two -star review.
“The handle to pull the cooler so that you can roll it against thin plastic where it is attached to the cooler.”
Customers in Mexico and Canada must also contact the company for a free replacement area, according to the recall.
Another 47,000 units in Canada and around 23,000 coolers in Mexico are included in the recall.
To find out if their coolers are influenced by the recall, customers can check the SKU in the bottom of the cooler.

A full list of affected SKUs is included in the recall of CPSC.
“With the safety of the consumer as our top priority, we voluntarily issued a recall on the 90qt Flip & Tow Rolling Cooler and we have offered consumers a good way of acting that includes a free replacement handle,” a spokesperson for Iglo told Daily Mail.
“Through rigorous tests and proactive steps, we are constantly improving our products to meet the highest safety standards.”
Important memories
Various other retailers have issued recall actions with shocking potential risks related to their products.
Tri-Union Seafoods gave a recall on 7 February on his 'Easy Can' after discovering a production error by his supplier.
