A pedophile that was cut by police officers while trying to meet and abuse a young boy was imprisoned.
Bex McCullgh, from Backwell, Noord -Oomerset, traveled to Bristol in October 2024 to meet the child for sex, but was arrested instead by Undercover officers of South West Regional Organized Crime Unit (SWROCU).
The 25-year-old was accused of trying to encourage a person under the age of 16 to give 'a received' sexual acts for the 'purpose of obtaining sexual satisfaction'.
McCullgh argued on Monday guilty of arranging or facilitating a child violation, in an attempt to enter into sexual communication with a child and to cause or encourage a child to do sexual activity.
At Bristol Crown Court, the judge pronounced a long -term penalty of eight years, consisting of four years in prison and another four years after extended license.
McCullgh must serve at least two -thirds of her sentence before the sex offender can be released.

In addition to her imprisonment, McCullgh also received a sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and will be added to the sex offense register for an indefinite period of time.
Detective inspector David Wells from Swrocu noted: 'The sentence transferred to McCullgh reflects the threat for children.
'Our online research team is part of a national network that works on identifying and arresting perpetrators who want to abuse or exploit children online.
“The results as these show how important that work is, but how essential it is just as essential for young people and their carers to be alert to the risks.”
