It can be difficult to know what to buy a partner this time of year, so one man has set out to find out what women really want.

Jamie Bachman posted on TikTok asking women in their 30s to give him some advice on what to get his wife.

He said: “Thirty-something ladies of TikTok, what am I getting my wife for Christmas this year?

“What’s trending right now? What’s on your wish list?

“And something that will earn me some serious husband points.”

The post was flooded with nearly 2,000 comments, with many women saying the same.

One woman said: “If she doesn’t have one yet, there’s a Shark FlexStyle.

“This has been my favorite gift for the past two years and my husband is good with gifts.”

In support of this, another person said, “Shark FlexFusion, it’s the bees knees and what I tell my friends husbands to buy.”

A third person added: “A Shark FlexStyle, and something from Pandora.”

Shark’s FlexStyle 5-in-1 Air Styler & Hair Dryer can be picked up from Argos for around £200.

This may seem a little pricey, but because it has five different uses, including curling and straightening your hair, it makes the perfect gift.

Other popular suggestions from women included the Elemis skincare Advent calendar, a Dyson Airwrap, Uggs and Birkenstocks.

Women also shared some ideas about what men should definitely not give their wives.

How to Save Money on Christmas Shopping

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to save money on your Christmas shopping.

Limit the number of presents – buying presents for all your family and friends can cost a bomb.

Instead, why not host a Secret Santa among your inner circles so you don’t have to buy multiple presents?

Plan ahead – if you have the stamina and the budget, it’s worth buying your Christmas presents for next year during the January sales.

Make sure you shop for the best deals by using price comparison sites so you don’t spend more than you need to.

Buy on sale on Boxing Day – some retailers are starting their Christmas sales early so you can actually score a bargain before December 25th.

Delivery may cost you a little more, but it could be worth it if the savings are significant.

Shop through outlet stores – you can save a lot of money by shopping through outlet stores such as Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts.

They work by selling returned or slightly damaged products at a discounted rate, but usually the wear and tear is minor.

One woman said: “My husband once brought me a Brita filter pitcher…don’t do that!”

A second person said: ‘Don’t do what my ex-husband did and buy necessary household items as gifts.

“I have pans, a microwave and tons of kitchen utensils!”

A third person said: “My ex gave me his ex’s ring (which she gave back with a note when they broke up).

“Don’t do that!”
