A suspect and five witnesses have been identified in the death of a British woman who was shot in her father's house in the US, according to a police report.
Lucy Harrison, 23, from Cheshire, was killed on January 10 in the house in Prosper, Texas – where the police launched a manslaughter investigation yesterday.
A coroner discovered that she died of a shot wound and she “was shot by another person.”
A heavily reduced police report from the Prosper Police Department confirmed that the case was investigated as a 'criminal negligent murder'.
The document, which was seen by MailOnline, said that a 'suspect' was identified in the case, as well as five witnesses, of whom there are two minors.
It is understood that a large jury will now decide behind closed doors if a criminal case has to move forward.
Lucy had to fly back to Manchester on the day she was shot after she spent Christmas in the United States.

An officer of the city of Prosper said that a 'thorough investigation' had been carried out and a file had been passed on to the public prosecutor of Collin County.
According to Texas's law, someone can be accused of criminal negligent murder if the death of a person was caused by careless or reckless behavior.
A conviction can lead to imprisonment, fines and a permanent criminal record.
An investigation into Lucy's death is open in the UK with a full hearing that would take place on March 28 at Warrington Coroners' Court.
A written report from the research opening reads: “Mrs. Harrison was on vacation in the US when she was deadly shot with a firearm.”
It said that the time of death on January 10 was 3.47 pm. The autopsy was performed on January 13 at 9.10 am.
It comes when Lucy's' completely deeply sad “mother and boyfriend gave her homage to a statement.
They said that the 23-year-old 'shamelessly loved' and 'really blooming in life' when she died.

The statement released through the Cheshire police read: 'Lucy was life. She lived it fiercely and fearlessly, not afraid to feel that everything that life has to offer.
'Lucy shamelessly kept – she had enormous ability to love and be loved.
'She was the embodiment of beautiful contradictions; She loved traveling and being gone, experiencing new places and cultures, but at the same time she loved nothing more than nesting in her pajamas with her candles at home.
'She could be dramatic and extensive situations as it was the end of the world, but she could also talk directly and [was] Not afraid to have daring conversations.
“She really flourished in life and although this gives us a lot of comfort, we are completely deeply sad in the loss of our beautiful, beautiful Luce.”
Social media messages show Lucy on vacation with her father Kris Harrison during the Christmas period.
Kris used to work in Saudi Arabia, but is now in the service of a fiber optical company in the United States, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Lucy's funeral will be held in the St. Elphin's Parish Church in Warrington at 12.30 pm on Monday 24 February.
