The efforts of the White House to reduce financing for NPR and PBS is starting to come into effect. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which supports NPR and PBS, said in a statement on Tuesday that the Ministry of Education had terminated a federal subsidy program that has financed shows for children.
The abrupt cancellation of the subsidy program, called Ready to Learning, resulted in a loss of $ 23 million that would have gone to educational shows and games of children. The First episode of the terminated subsidy was granted by the first Trump administration in 2020.
