Cardi B leads liberal celebrity meltdown as Trump cruises to victory: Singer’s f-word rant telling Republicans to ‘burn your hats’
Cardi B unleashed an expletive-laden tirade against Donald Trump’s supporters after the Republican leader dramatically took control of the US elections.
After winning the key battleground states of North Carolina, Georgia and Pennsylvania, Trump took the stage and declared victory in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
As a picture of which way the vote was going began to unravel, Cardi B said she was “proud” of Kamala Harris who secured states like California and Colorado but failed to overcome her Republican rival.
During a TikTok live in front of 37,000 viewers, the Grammy-winning artist took aim at Trump supporters, who flooded the comments section as she shared motivational words with Harris.
Reading a comment that read, “Cardi, we need you at Trump’s inauguration,” the singer ranted, “I swear to God I’m going to fuck you, get away from me!” I’m tired of you! Burn your damn hats, motherf****r. I’m really sad. I swear to God I’m very sad.’
Regarding her “love” for Harris, she told her followers, “No matter what happens, I know she’s probably emotional right now. I know there’s probably a lot going on in her head and I know she’s not listening to this, but she’ll see it eventually.

“I just hope she knows whatever happens tonight, millions of people are proud of her. Women all over the world are proud of her. Women of color are proud of her.
“Y’all, I know how I felt at the beginning of this damn year, I didn’t want to vote for anyone. She changed her mind, I feel like she was very honest and said the things I wanted to hear.”
The rapper added, “When I looked at her face and she was talking to me, I thought she was very sincere and not playing any damn games. She had 100 days to do all this and she woke up this nation. I feel like a lot of things went wrong last year and they kept her in the background too much.
“I’m proud of her and I hope she’s proud of herself no matter what happens tonight. This is one of the most unforgettable elections and I love it. I’m not saying I love a lot of people, you all know that. Because I hate everyone.”
Cardi B is one of the celebrities who have endorsed the vice president for the US elections.
Talk show host Oprah Winfrey, rapper Eminem, singer Taylor Swift and her American footballer boyfriend Travis Kelce and actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Julia Roberts have all also endorsed Harris.
Celebrities from both sides of the Atlantic have reacted to Trump’s victory.
Riverdale star Lili Reinhart, a supporter of Harris, also lashed out over Trump’s comeback to the White House.
She wrote on X: “I cannot fathom the feelings of the women who came forward about their sexual assault by Trump. Seeing millions of people voting for their abuser. My heart absolutely breaks for these women. I believe you, and I’m so sorry.”
A jury in New York found Trump liable for the sexual abuse of writer E. Jean Carroll last May.
When another user said: ‘Lili, you are a great actor, just keep acting, stay out of politics,’ she replied: ‘Suck my d***.’
Singer Paloma Faith previously posted on Instagram: “Today it feels like the whole world is waiting for the results of an STD test.”
When news of Trump’s victory broke, she continued, “Unfortunately, the rest of the results were positive.” In another post, the singer added: ‘Oh great, he’s back. Goodbye women’s rights, goodbye liberalism, goodbye freedom of expression. Hello racism, hello capitalism, hello climate change, hello war, hello end of days.”
The Wire actor Wendell Pierce also warned of the “consequences” a Trump victory could have.
He wrote, “The Supreme Court will be changed for a generation. I will never see a moderate court again in my life. Alito and Thomas will resign and Trump will appoint 40-year-old partisans to the bench. The damage he will do to our institutions over the next two years will be irreparable.”
Actress Cara Delevingne said it was “disheartening but also liberating.” She added: “We get to make every day a living hell for fascists, misogynists, bigots and liars for the next four years. This is not the time to shrink, nor the time to despair.”
Elsewhere, British liberal LBC radio presenter James O’Brien wrote: ‘What kind of hell is this?’ Meanwhile, fellow broadcaster Carol Vorderman said simply: “God help America.”
Billionaire Shark Tank star Mark Cuban admitted defeat by congratulating Donald Trump after campaigning hard for his opponent.
‘Congratulations Donald Trump. You won fair and square. My congratulations also to Elon Musk.’
In stark contrast, Trump’s beaming supporters celebrated well into the night. Billionaire X owner Elon Musk said: ‘Game, set and match.’ He added: “The American people tonight gave Donald Trump a crystal clear mandate for change.”
Comedian and actor Russell Brand posted: ‘DONALD TRUMP WON.’
Many celebrities had previously encouraged Americans to vote and also shared photos of themselves with the ballots.
