A WOMAN has revealed she gave her kitchen a mega makeover without spending a lot of money.

Sam Conway, a savvy mum from the UK, explained that bargains from Dunelm and Wilko allowed her to transform her dated and boring kitchen into a fresh, modern space.

Delighted with her DIY transformation, Sam took to social media to share a before and after look at the space, leaving many open-mouthed.

Posting online, op DIY on a budgeta private Facebook page with 2.2 million members, Sam shared photos of her kitchen before the renovation, as well as photos of the finished space, leaving many open-mouthed.

What was once seriously needed TLCwith orange carpeting, old-fashioned floral tiles and brown cupboards, has been given a fresh look new look.

Now the space is incredibly modern and chic, with beautiful herringbone floors and cool cream-colored cabinets.

The tiles and worktops have been updated and the room has been decorated with trendy black accessories.

Delighted with the cheap makeover, Sam wrote: “Incredibly proud of how our cheap kitchen renovation turned out.”

She then confirmed that she had painted the kitchen tiles with Johnstone’s Revive Tile Paint in white.

She also painted the kitchen cabinets with cabinet and furniture paint in ‘Perfectly Greige’ from Wilko.

Not only this, but she also fitted the cupboards with new chrome handles and received a new herringbone linoleum floor from Online Carpets.

To brighten up the once dark countertops, she used DC-Fix ‘Ribbeck Oak’ vinyl film and also received a custom-made roller blind from Blinds4You.

In addition, Sam bought a trendy matte black fixture, a striped doormat and a towel rack from Dunelm.

To complete the space, Sam also bought a three-tier shelving unit from Next, which is super stylish.

Overjoyed with her improved space, Sam wrote: “It just goes to show – a turd can be polished very well!!”

Sam’s kitchen makeover has clearly impressed many as it quickly racked up over 730 likes and 164 comments.

Social media users were left agape in support of the DIY overhaul, with many flocking to the comments to express their views.
