But within a few days of construction work that started in November, residents of Croxley Green 'remained' shocked 'when they realized that the entire terrace -shaped house was being demolished.
“One day was the house there and the next day it wasn't,” said a local who preferred to stay anonymously on mail online.
“Nobody was ever told that the whole house would be demolished. If you are going to do something like that, you have to tell the people who live around you, you have to tell the council, especially if you live in a row of houses. '
The neighbor of the door of the Knocked Down Home, Mrs. Wilson, remembers 'terrified' when she realized what happened.

'The work to hit the house lasted about two weeks and when it was ready, Storm Darragh hit.
'That weekend, because next door was gone, the only thing my wall covered was polyteen with a few wooden bates over it – and she all blew away. It was absolutely shocking, the house was so cold.
'It was the fear, the feeling that my house is not safe, that it could literally come down. The winds were so strong that weekend that everything could have hit the wall and we could fly through it. It was really terrible. '
The vibrations from the construction were in fact so violent that neighbors could feel more than five doors down the effects.

Within his statement, the construction inspector concluded that the unsafe wall was “inherently vulnerable”, with his explanation also emphasized that the brickwork would be “easily damaged when structural work was done”.

The neighbor of the nightmare has reportedly 'become very defensive', with the argument that the decision to hit the entire property was a necessity

Residents, however, believe that the homeowner intended to always demolish the property

“It is important to note that all structures are strictly in accordance with previously approved building permit that was granted, whereby the design, the scale and the footprint of the house did not change at all of our original building permit that was fully approved.”
The declaration of the construction audit, which was shared with Post Online by the homeowner and written during construction, suggested that 'parts', but not all, of the original property' are opened to allow 'integration with the new extension' to be.

“The council has not been help at all. They told me in the beginning that they launched an investigation and they would keep me informed, but they didn't have contact once.
'My house was endangered and they have not answered any of my questions.
“It has all been so stressful, I am afraid to answer my door in case it is someone to do with what happened next door.”
In response to the frustrations of his neighbors, the homeowner of the demolished real estate apologized for the test, and acknowledged that construction work must have been 'stressful'.

'I am not sure what else we can do to pacify someone who is adversely affected by what happened. We can clearly not change the past.
“This has been a very stressful situation for all involved and we look forward to finding a joint solution through continuous collaboration with three rivers.”
