It looks like British retailer Marks & Spencer has released a new collection of partywear just in time for the holidays.

And there’s one dress that’s catching the attention of fashion fans: the sequin V-neck midi column dress.

The dress is available in two beautiful colours: a rich chocolate brown sequin style or a striking gold number.

The sultry dress shows enough skin to be perfect for a party without being too revealing in front of your boss.

It also comes in an inclusive size range, going from size six to size 24.

The dress has small shoulder pads to accentuate the curves and has hidden ruffles along the waist to hide the stomach.

M&S bosses say: “Make sure all eyes are on you in this glittering sequin dress.”

“It’s designed in a regular fit, with a timeless column shape that falls to a flattering midi length.

“The sleeveless style is complete with a V-shaped neckline and extra stretch for comfort. A slit at the front adds extra drama and allows you to move with ease.”

The dress is a hit online and has become a trending item in the past 24 hours.

M&S must-have jacket for autumn

Those who bought the dress already said it was just as beautiful in real life and gave it an average rating of five stars.

One person wrote: “I wasn’t sure at first about ordering as the brown color isn’t normally something I would go for, but what a beautiful dress!

“It fits like a glove – although I would say it fits better than a column shape, but it also has a bit of ruching on the side so it hides my lumps and bumps, and it’s stretchy so not too clingy.

“Another point not mentioned in the description is that it has a bit of shoulder padding, but that only added to the nice fit for me personally.”

Christmas fashion tips from an expert

CLEMMIE Fieldsend, fashion editor at Fabulous, has shared her top tips for looking fabulous this Christmas.

AVOID: Christmas sweaters
They are no longer a novelty, they have now become boring again and do not belong at a festive party.
By all means, go all in for Christmas Sweater Day for Save The Children, but never wear it before or after that day.

WEAR: Burgundy
At this time of year you can’t avoid burgundy and it is a luxurious, deep and rich color that is a welcome change from the Christmas red at Christmas.
Opt for silky textures or velvet for extra style points.

AVOID: PJs
The trend of feather-trimmed combination sets has had its day and is so dated.
This year, don’t break out your hair-plucked pair and buy a new set, instead, still go for the satin two-piece, but stay away from the plumes.

WEAR: Sequin dress
Try changing up the sequins a bit by wearing them with a different texture or color, for example a sequin skirt with a tight knit.
But if you really don’t know what to wear, reach for the sequins, it is Christmas after all.

AVOID: Sequin blazer
There’s nothing worse than showing up to a festive gig that looks like the hired entertainment.
Leave the sequin blazer to magicians and strict judges, but always opt for a classic tuxedo style or velvet instead.

WEAR: Bling pants
Last season, embellished jeans with diamond bling were having a moment, and this year they’re going to be just as big a hit.
If you don’t want gemstones pinging everywhere, try metallic PU pants.

Another commented: “Very stylish and glitzy! Not worn yet, but it feels comfortable to wear and it is lined.

“It looks more expensive than the £59 price tag. It fits true to size.”

“Beautiful. My husband says I look like a Crunchie… and he loves Crunchies!” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Just had this sequin party dress delivered, even though it looks like Nice when it’s on and the color is great, a nice rich brown color, there’s nothing in the description about it having shoulder pads! “
