Samsung Galaxy Ring with up to 7 days battery life launched in nine sizes
Samsung’s Galaxy Ring finally went official at the company’s second Galaxy Unpacked of the year in Paris, where it was announced alongside the company’s latest Galaxy Z foldable smartphones. The South Korean brand’s first-ever smart ring comes with a range of health tracking and sleep monitoring features, and comes in three variants ranging in size up to a 13. The Galaxy Ring features a lightweight design weighing in at 2.3 grams to 3.0 grams, with a water-resistant build. It’s said to have a battery life of up to seven days on a single charge, and it’s powered by the Samsung Health platform.

The Samsung Galaxy Ring costs $399 (approximately Rs. 34,000) and will be available for pre-order in select markets from July 10, with general availability starting from July 24. It comes in Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold color options.

The Galaxy Ring comes in nine sizes, ranging from five to 13. The wearable comes with a sizing kit that helps you find the right fit from nine size options. It offers 8MB of storage and is equipped with a PPG (Photoplethysmography) sensor that allows users to detect irregular heart rhythms. It includes a temperature sensor and accelerometer to give wearers insights into their well-being. It works with the Samsung Health app.
Like Samsung’s recent Galaxy devices, the Galaxy Ring also gets the Galaxy AI touch. With Galaxy AI features like Energy Score and Wellness Tips, the Galaxy Ring generates a detailed health report with various metrics and offers recommendations to wearers. It features a Sleep AI algorithm to provide data on sleep patterns and help build better habits. Along with Sleep Score and snoring analysis, the wearable offers sleep metrics such as movement during sleep, sleep latency, and heart rate and breathing rate. With Cycle Tracking, the menstrual cycle can be tracked through skin temperature monitoring.
Samsung’s Galaxy Ring is said to provide instant notifications about heart rates via Heart Rate Alert through the Samsung Health app. Automatic workout detection and idle alerts are the other health-focused features available on the device. Additionally, the Ring can be used to take photos or dismiss alarms on paired Galaxy smartphones with a few taps. Users can also locate the Galaxy Ring via their Galaxy smartphone using Find My Ring on Samsung Find.
The wearable is water and sweat resistant with an IP68 rating and is certified for 10 ATM water resistance. It has a titanium grade 5 build and offers Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. The Galaxy Ring can be paired with a Samsung Galaxy smartphone running Android 11.0 or later and a minimum of 1.5GB of storage.
The base variant of the Galaxy Ring in size 5 has an 18mAh battery, while the larger size 13 has a 23.5mAh battery. The wearable comes with a custom-designed charging case with an LED light to indicate the charging status. The charging case has a 361mAh battery and is said to deliver up to seven days of battery life on a single charge. Additionally, 30 minutes of charging time is said to fill the battery from zero to 40 percent.
The Galaxy ring measures 7.0×2.6mm. The size 5 option weighs 2.3 grams while the size 13 weighs 3.0 grams. The charging case measures 48.9×48.9×24.51 and weighs 61.3 grams.
