A fish and chip shop worker has become an internet celebrity after videos of her work were shared on TikTok.

A trader’s fish and chip shop in Bewdley in Worcestershire’s Wyre Forest District has gone viral on TikTok for videos of customers ordering with the same female employee working.

In one clip, which racked up more than 24 million views, the blonde staff member reenacted a scene with a fake customer ordering fish and chips.

Many TikTokers commented that the interaction sounded like a scenario a foreign language student might have to listen to and translate for an exam.

The customer confirmed that he would like to try the haddock and asked for curry and a Sprite on the side, ending each sentence with ‘please’.

At the end of the conversation, the employee said, “Have a nice day.” And the customer replied: ‘Congratulations to you too, see you soon.’

Despite the mundane interaction, the clip received a lot of attention, with people rushing to the comments to leave their thoughts.

One person said: ‘This felt like teaching material for English language classes for beginners.’
