I’m a handsome cougar and the biggest mistake women make is overlooking petite kings

MANY Brits were left stunned after discovering Take That heartthrob Gary Barlow is just 6ft tall, after a photo of him standing next to his tall son recently went viral.

But as far as one woman is concerned, height isn’t everything, and a lot of singles could be missing out if they don’t opt for the ‘short kings’.

It’s the subject of many conversations on dating apps, as men proudly brag about their towering stature in their bios, and some have even been scolded for lying about their true height in an attempt to land a date.

But focusing all your attention on the six-foot things could be a serious mistake, said self-proclaimed cougar Tara Gen.

“Don’t overlook the short kings,” she said in a recent TikTok video.

“They’re funny, they’re smart and they’re so incredibly sweet.”

Tara knows a thing or two about how great little men can be, as her own father was considerably smaller than her mother.

“The best thing she ever did was marry that man,” she added.

A lot of celeb men are also on the short side, and you’re probably in love with some of them.

Actors Tom Holland and Kit Harrington are both 6 feet tall, and Bruno Mars, for example, is only 6 feet tall.

After sharing the dating mistake, men flooded the comments section of the viral video and thanked her for coming to her defense.

One said: ‘I’m a little king and I often feel overlooked, no matter how serious it is Nice and love tall women! Tall blondes are my kryptonite.”

“I guess it looks like I still have a chance,” chimed in another guy. “I’m probably the shortest king of them all, I’m 4 feet tall, but at least if I have a super car I can fit in there with no problem. Not at all.”

Although Tara, who is in her 50s, hasn’t said that if she’s dated short men, she’s certainly no stranger to breaking relationship norms.

In the past, she has dated men younger than her sons, who are 30 and 24, and has even had men begging to date her whenever she posts content on social media.

She also revealed that she hates it when younger men want her to be their ‘sugar cougar’ and shower them with gifts, she revealed.

Because of this, the grandmother confessed that she usually keeps her love for younger men “on the back burner,” even having to make sure she isn’t friends with her romantic partners’ parents.

She explained that she is not looking for a husband and just wants to have fun with her young lovers.

This came after someone commented on an earlier video and wrote: “For the young boys, just run away. These women are damaged goods.”

But the grandmother had no time for haters and explained that she wasn’t looking for love.

In fact, it is the men who continue to pursue her.

“Strangely enough, I can’t get rid of them. Once I go out with them, they don’t go away,” she said.

Tara explained that she knows right away if she clicks with someone, but they often get the wrong impression and she eventually has to break things off with them.

She confessed that she doesn’t want to waste her time with someone she isn’t compatible with, unlike the younger men she dates.

The blonde beauty is so popular online that she was even approached by a casting agency to appear in a reality show about cougar moms.

Although she has had many opportunities, it has not always been sunshine and rainbows for her.

Since becoming popular online, Tara has received inappropriate messages.

Some of the worst include unsolicited nude photos, or men saying they know where she lives and would like to attack her.

“I don’t think I’m controversial, so it’s ridiculous that they go out of their way to be mean or rude.

“I’m really ready for it Earth and at the end of the day it’s all about my family,” she previously told The US Sun.

5 Warning Signs You’re Dating a Catfish

New data has revealed that 40 percent of us know someone who has been catfished, while 22 percent have been catfished ourselves.

April Davis, founder and president of LUMA Luxury Matchmakinghas shared five key ways to catch a catfish.

1. You can’t find them online

Almost everyone has a social media presence, especially those who are willing to try dating apps. So if you can’t find them anywhere online, such as on a Facebook, Instagram or even LinkedIn account, this could be a big red flag.

April says: “If you’re suspicious, ask to add them on Facebook or Instagram. If they decline or if the account they send you looks new, that’s a red flag.”

2. Conversations quickly became personal

Catfish are known for ‘love-bombing’, a form of emotional manipulation.

So if the person you’re talking to immediately goes over the top with compliments, wants to communicate all the time, and makes statements like “I love you” within a few days of speaking, that’s a big red flag.

3. They don’t open

If someone asks a lot of questions about you but isn’t willing to give much in return, this could be a red flag for catfishing.

This is because these scammers are obviously not who they say they are and it can be difficult for them to keep their lies straight.

As a result, most catfish would rather not give out any personal information at all if they can help it.

4. They ask for money

Asking for money, regardless of the reason, is a huge red flag.

Whether they want a wire transfer or your credit card number, catfish have a wide variety of sob stories to tell when it’s time to cheat you out of your money.

5. They don’t show their faces

It’s not surprising that someone who doesn’t want to show who they are in a video call or real-time photos can be a catfish.

The last thing a catfish wants is for you to see its real face, as it usually steals someone else’s photos to use.

This means they will likely refuse to send photos or make video calls.
