A missing dog who ran away a cliff and survived for three days on a narrow ledge without food or water was saved.
Narla, a six -year -old Red Labrador, disappeared after he escaped from her owners at Sea View Farm in Otterton, Devon on 12 February.
While searching for her, they heard a whine that came out of the cliffs on Ladram Bay Beach – and realized that they were stuck on a ledge on the rock wall.
An abseiler from the salvation of the Bierkustguard made his climb to pick up the dog – which was returned to her owners, “a little tired, a little thinner, but safe.”
In a message on Facebook, Narla's owner Greg Vooght described finding the puppy as 'a huge relief' and a result of the 'monumental effort' of family and rescue teams.
He initially believed that Narla had been taken by Dogknappers.
Writing on Facebook, he said: 'We found Narla after a monumental effort from my whole family and the Facebook community.
“We found Narla. A bit tired, a little thinner but safe and reunited. It is time for me to eat modest cake and say that I was wrong. '

He added: 'Narla was not taken and she had actually brought herself to an adventure around Ladram Bay Holiday Park.
'After 3 days of non-stop searching, we finally got a low enough tide to reach the headland on Ladram Bay Beach.
“Fay heard a whine and there she was on a ledge. It taught me a lot, not to guess what happened. Keep searching instead. '
The Beer Coastguard Rescue Team, assisted by Exmouth Coastguard and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Teams, said they showed 'good teamwork around'.
In a statement on Facebook they said: 'Narla, who was missing for three days, was seen on a ledge on cliffs in Ladram Bay.
'Our Self, Exmouth Coastguard and Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Teams were charged with [with the rescue].
'A rope technician of beer was lowered the short distance over the cliff, while Kustuards the Cliffftop operations manned and Narla was raised and transferred to the owners.
“Thanks to Ladram Bay's staff for their help.”
