Quordle today (game #1021) – the answers
The answers to today’s Quordle, game #1021, are…
Those of you who follow this column regularly (hi!) will know that I start every day with the same three words: STARE, DOILY, and PUNCH. And you may also know that I sometimes play an unofficial fourth word when I’m stuck: BEFOG. This is great because it includes three of the common consonants not in my starters, and it came up as a trump again today.
I solved SUITE easily, because I had all five letters there, and then was surprised by —RY with a yellow E. I saw that BERRY, BEERY and FERRY were all possible, so I rolled out my magic BEFOG.. .and turned my fortunes around in one fell swoop. Not only did it give me the F I needed for FERRY, but it also gave me the E green there, gave me the F for ERROR and the G for GROIN. Comfortable.
