NEW DELHI: Haryana Minister Anil Vij praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ‘changing the direction of politics’ in the country and said ‘the same magic’ will work in Jharkhand and Maharashtra Assembly Electionsas was the case in the recent elections.
He further stated that Prime Minister Modi is into development politics, adding that the entire nation wants to work towards his target, ‘Viksit Bharat’.
Speaking to ANI, Vij said, “The same magic will work in the elections in Jharkhand and Maharashtra as in the recent elections, and wherever elections are held now, the same magic will work because Prime Minister Modi has changed the direction of politics. was done by making false promises, now Modi ji has turned it into a development policy. Prime Minister Modi wants to take the country to a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and the people want to go along with Prime Minister Modi’s developed India.”
“Why till date no Prime Minister could think of a developed India. Only Narendra Modi thought that the countries that became independent after us are also developed, but India is still struggling for basic amenities. Therefore, the aim of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ was decided by Modi ji,” said the Haryana BJP leader.
Meanwhile, campaigning for the first phase of Jharkhand assembly elections ended on Monday.
Jharkhand will go to the polls in two phases on November 13 and 20. In the first phase, 43 of the total 81 seats will go to the polls.
Campaigning in the state, Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and accused him of “humiliating” Champai Soren.
“Champai Soren has been loyal and supportive of Hemantji for so many years, but the way he was humiliated and removed is not just an insult to Champai Soren but an insult to the entire tribal community. The main issue was that Champai Soren declared that corruption should be stopped, but the JMM was not ready to stop it,” he alleged.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a roadshow in Ranchi and two rallies – one in Bokaro and another in Gumla – where he criticized the Congress and its allies for ‘trying to create a divide between SCs, STs and OBCs’.
The Maharashtra Assembly elections will take place on November 20 and the counting of votes will take place on November 23.
The opposition MVA coalition, comprising the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Nationalist Congress Party (SCP), aims to regain power in the state and challenge the Mahayuti alliance, which includes the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party belong. BJP) and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP.
In the 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections, the BJP won 105 seats, Shiv Sena 56 and Congress 44. In 2014, the BJP won 122 seats, Shiv Sena 63 and Congress 42.
