I found the best Christmas party dress from Asda and the sleeves cover plump arms
A WOMAN has revealed she found the ultimate Christmas party outfits from Asda, including a dress that’s great if you don’t like your arms.
So if you have a festive outing and want to treat yourself to a new dress, then you should check this out.
Fashion and beauty fanatic Christina Mitsi, who hails from Britain, recently took to social media to model her new supermarket finds, which she acquired from George at Asda.
Delighted with her purchases, which included a velvet jumpsuit and a sequin maxi dress, Christina was keen to share her thoughts online, leaving many completely baffled.
In a clip on TikTok, the blonde beauty said: “Christmas party dresses from George at Asda. Let’s go.”
To start her haul, Christina tried on a green velvet jumpsuit, as she beamed: “A beautiful dark green velvet and then the neck piece here is this beautiful diamond necklace.

“I have to say it’s a little tricky to get it where you want it to be, but once you get the hang of it and get it right, it looks simply beautiful.
“Beautiful neckline. I love this little deep bit here. I think it looks absolutely fantastic.
“For me it takes a very long time. I wear very tall shoes so I would have to have this done as I am 6 feet tall, but I ordered this in a size 12 and I would say it fits me very well.
“Fits beautifully and I think it looks absolutely beautiful.”
We then saw Christina wearing a plunging v-neck maxi dress as she continued: “Nice length and it’s beautiful black and gold.
“Very Christmasy, very Niceand really good if you don’t want your arms to be visible.
“And it’s a fairly loose fit, so it’s not too tight.
“But I will say the material is a little scratchy. It’s not the most comfortable around your neck.”
After this, Christina showed off her favorite dress: a beautiful green dress, on sale for £55.
She was clearly overjoyed and explained: “This one is absolutely fantastic. It’s fishtail without being too much.
“It’s a little shorter at the front and you can let your shoes stick out, but without this train dragging on the bottom.
This is simply the ultimate Christmas party dress, I absolutely love it

“The length of it is just beautiful and I love the sleeves. These floating sleeves, if you have fat arms that you want to cover, but you have an absolutely powerful body, then this dress is ideal.
“Even with this enormous amount of sequins, it is not too heavy, it does not itch on the inside. It feels absolutely fantastic and I feel great in it.
Is supermarket fashion the new shopping street?
Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale weighs in:
The supermarkets have really upped their game when it comes to their fashion lines. When you do your weekly shop these days, you can also pick up a selection of handbag-friendly, stylish pieces for the whole family.
Tesco has just announced a 0.7 per cent rise for the quarter thanks to ‘strong growth in clothing’ and M&S has earned the title of number one destination for women’s clothing on the high street.
Asda’s George clothing line has made £1.5m for the supermarket by 2023, 80 per cent of Sainsbury’s clothes are sold at full price rather than discounted, and Nutmeg sales at Morrisons are also up 2 per cent in the past year increased.
How come supermarket fashion is becoming so successful?
Besides being actually affordable, the clothing is also of good quality, many of which are part of programs such as the Better Cotton Initiative.
Often they stick to classic pieces that they know will please the customer year after year.
And because they buy so much inventory, they can convert pieces quickly and buy them cheaper because of the volumes.
“This is just the ultimate Christmas party dress, I absolutely love this, absolutely brilliant work from Asda. Nice. Really nice.”
We next saw the savvy shopper wearing a sparkling long sleeve small dress, as she confessed: “I love the black and gold ombre. This is just a sensational real Christmas party dress, quite sparkling and beautiful.
“I would say this one is quite short, so it would probably require black tights.
“I love that there is a nice underlayer underneath, so you don’t feel the scratches of these sequins. It’s actually very nice and comfortable inside.
‘What I would say is that the bow detail at the back is meant to be a selling point of this dress, and yet it’s just a really cheap, awful, annoying bow.
“So the detail on the back is a bit wasted, it should be a nice big silk bow.

“But still, the front end is what we’re looking at, and the front end looks absolutely banging.”
Not only this, but Christina also tried on a black, sparkly, long-sleeved dress, as she admitted: ‘This is just my favorite kind of dress. It’s simple, an A-line skirt, tie around the waist, long sleeves, stretchy at the ends, covering everything.
“It’s just perfect and look how beautiful and sparkling it is.
“It looks absolutely fantastic under the lights and it’s so comfortable and beautiful.
“You are not limited at all, you don’t need shapewear.
Reasons to buy supermarket fashion
When you’re looking for new pieces to add to your seasonal wardrobe or to update your basics, you don’t have to spend hours walking through clothing stores or scrolling online. Just buy a dress or two next to your fruits and vegetables…
They are useful – There is a good chance that you visit your supermarket more often than a shopping center or shopping street.
It’s affordable – From basic items to more fashion items, supermarkets are leading the way in budget fashion that doesn’t look cheap.
They are trendier than you think – With a customer base larger than that of the average high street, stores such as ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Tesco can serve markets and predict trends in many more areas than just food supply.
They fit well – Fits and lengths often come with a little more modesty in mind. Fabrics are often also very practical: think of a lot of 100% cotton that can be thrown in the washing machine without a second thought.
“You can wear your most comfortable bra underneath. It is simply perfect as a Christmas dress.
“It would also look great with tights if you don’t want to have your legs all the way out when it’s a bit chilly, and of course it would look great with flats if you don’t want to wear heels.
“I just love the style of it. I like the sleeves, not too big and wide. I think these are absolutely fantastic and so affordable too.”
And to complete her outfit, Christina tried on a burgundy sequin top, which she paired with a leather slit skirt.
Delighted with her new outfit, she concluded: “Finally we have this burgundy sequin top.
“So I wanted to buy something that you can wear with a skirt or with pants.
“If you don’t like dresses, this top is a very nice option.

“Burgundy red of course, the color of the season, but still beautiful and sparkling. Wonderful for Christmas.
“There’s a nice top underneath, so your skin doesn’t come close to those big sequins.
“I probably wouldn’t wear it with the skirt, I would probably wear it with black high-waisted trousers because I just think this is very stylish, very simple, but beautiful and sparkling.
“I think this is beautiful, but actually very nice and comfortable.
“So yes, a nice option if you don’t want to wear a dress.”
