He always prepares his lunch the night before, so that he is prepared for busy days at the doctor’s office.

And he has shared it with social media users in an effort to promote healthy eating.

He said: “This is what I have for lunch most days before work. It keeps me from snacking.

“It has red onions in it, which are good for gut health. I also have some chopped cucumber in there, which is a really good source of vitamin K which is needed for healthy bones.

“Next we have some chopped tomatoes, which you know I love. They are high in antioxidants, lycopene and beta-carotene, which can help prevent the damage to my cells from free radicals. They are also a very good source of vitamin C for my immune system.”

And its final ingredient is the key to feeling full for longer.

Dr. Khan said: “I have some protein, in the form of chickpeas, which are also full of fibre.

“Both the protein and fiber keep me feeling full for longer and snacking less.”

The health expert finishes his pre-packaged meal with a drizzle of olive oil and lime juice.

And in an effort to prevent patients from leaving chocolate at the reception, Dr. Khan also brings two healthy snacks to follow up on his salad: a combination of walnuts and pistachios, and some blueberries.

His meal reveal has since gone viral, racking up 1.5 million views on TikTok.

Some social media users are loving it, with one calling it the “perfect meal.”

A second echoed: “Your posts have changed the way I eat. I’m going to have lunch now.”

A third wrote: “I’ve started eating salads and feel so full! I think it’s the water content of the lettuce/vegetables but it’s so worth it.”

Meanwhile, a fourth added: “I make salads like this for my partner for work. He’s an engineer and needs a good dinner and it’s put him off going to services for a burger and chips.”

However, others have admitted that it hasn’t changed their eating habits.

“I do this… and still eat 3 packets of crisps, a cake and chocolate,” one admitted.

Someone else said: “I’m not watching this on my lunch break with a Big Mac and a Red Bull.”
